thank you for bringing my awareness of this video back around sean. looking forward to picking up the accompany track from your bandcamp as well. the words of sagan you shared in the description of this work are so poignant. "...everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives." powerful. thanks as always for giving me things to think about.

Is this footage from the creation of the music? Is this made with tape loops? It sounds amazing!
@seancurtispatrick2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobby! I actually livestreamed most of the recording process on instagram and recorded all of the footage for this short later that day. And, yep! All tape loops! (and a computer for processing and editing) Thanks for giving it a spin! :)

"The concept of “Sonno" came from how the album was recorded. They both come pretty much from the same recording session. They are all pieces, or I would say lullabies, for myself that I developed on tour with NIN and it was always hard for me to sleep especially when I travel, so I had Roland MC 202, an older synthesizer with portable battery power, and I just connected it in my hotel room to a speaker and a delay pedal and set up little sequences that would repeat. I tweaked them a little bit and then I just left them on overnight and just used to fall asleep to that." He talks about Sonno in this section, not Risveglio, but yeah. 202, Delay Pedal and a little speaker. Read the whole article, its fantastic! -> secretthirteen.org/interview-with-alessandro-cortini/
