So glad she did this piece. I feel this performance solidifies her standing as the vocalist who can nail anything. The lady country singers should be glad she sings metal, or half of them would be out of a job.

I always enjoyed listening to Nightwish, but it was the music that stood in the foreground for me. Tarja always had too much opera in her voice for my taste. When Anette took over the vocals it was different. What Tarja always had too much of in her voice, Anette didn't have enough. With Floor, the band found itself. An era began with Tarja Anette continued it and left her own mark But with Floor, Nightwish became Nightwish

Floor is the only singer that gives me chills no matter what she sings and how many times i hear her. Loved the Floor encore you put at the end. Happy Emppu face.

Tarja sings songs really well that were written for her, Annette struggles a lot not because she is a bad singer but they are written for someone of operatic singing. Floor just slays every song past and present, Tarja would even struggle with the more recent songs!

This comparison is not fair. It looks like the filming of floor and of Tarja were taken on the stage by professionals, so the sound is great. whereas the video of Annet looks like has been made by a fan in the audience by a mobile phone.

One day Tuomas needs to hold a special series of concerts where the band actually performs with a whole symphony orchestra, so it's not just the premixed music coming out of his piano/deck/system.

There were a few sections Tommy didn't come from the gut enough. Close though.

Live no doubt Floor is better. However her studio albums are not memorable in my opinion. I don’t feel the magic and mystery and sense of a mythical adventure that Tarja and Annette made us feel on their studio albums.

She's a top lass, brought a tear to an eye of a dude that really doesn't listen to metal with melodic vocals. This goes to show that in the majority of cases musicians choose metal not because they can't play/perform other types of music, but because they prefer it and have a passion for it.

You must think that Tarja was already banned from nightwish when she performed that in 2005 , so she probably sang last lives without love and diligement. When Nightwish did the "end of an Era" Tarja was already out. I don't know why she decided to did these lives equally.

Coming from a big Floor fan here. There was a distinct difference in the audio recording quality every time you criticised Anette's vocal ability . This was not a fair comparison even if Floor and Tarja could belt it out - You have to be there in the audience to capture the moment and appreciate live music.

Annete clips have terrible quality on youtube...The other two have reverb and delay on their voice as well.

Tarja was first. She was the reason why every meal girl wanted to be like her. Strong and powerful on vocals in a heavy metal band. You can argue and i will tell you that you're right that NW wasn't the first heavy metal band in this structure. But in late 90' NW was phenomenon and in early 2000' Tarja was the goddess and heavy metal diva. And then you had a tons NW like bands. Tuomas probably wanted something different and Tarja was not OK with this or idk. But Anette was the girl after Tarja. can you imagine that you will be on her place? I think no. And what she did? Um, nothing special... only best selling NW album Dark Passion Play and probably the best NW album ever Imeginaerum. So her impact was stronger and even she was not able sing after school driven trained Tarja, she was able to sing her own song like no one else. And after she left Foor came in. Extremely high skilled vocalist with ability to sing with raw and opera voice. Yeh this mix nailed Ghost Love Score and you can say she can sing everything. Can she? My answer is no. Last Ride Of The Day is not that dreamy like it was with Anette, and Everdream also without Tarja. You can say that Anette and Tarja have both their own songs, but does Floor have her own song? What is her best NW song? The one that will make her special. And there you go.... Tarja and Anette were totally different and that was great because you have Slipping Sun and Amaranth ....Floor is the best choice for NW now maybe but what song makes her special? Believe me i love Floor and i know she is the best of best, but there is no way that i will compare her, Tarja and Anette in only one song.
