Working on back tension will help you out a lot. With your draw arm elbow up and back ,squeezing shoulder blades together. It will help line your body up and help your release as well help keep bow arm steady. On your release, come to anchor, relax fingers from string and try to keep hand at anchor. Gives less dynamic follow through. Should help tighten up your grouping. Keeping back tension throughout shot is very important. Keep up good work and most importantly have fun

@huntfish_outdoors yeah man, what I wished I focused on when I started was good form instead of aiming techniques. Work on good form and aiming will start to come easier. Check out- Hitting them like Howard Hill - with John Shultz , great informative video , and also a great hunting style. It's the style I started using after I discovered it. Personally I love the style, but there are many techniques out there

Put a clicker on it temporarily.Also practice long shots if you can.I am lucky enough to have a spot where I can shoot where I can shoot from the top of one hill to into the side of the hill opposite it.I can shoot from 50yards to 80 yards.I usually shoot 60 yards.Once you figure out your drop you'll be putting them right in there.And then short shots seem easy.It will force you to gap shoot .I had to.To have any kind of consistency at 60.20 and under its all instinctive for me.I shoot 3 under with the anchor being pointer finger on my cheek bone under my eye

@@patrickosier3644 that’s a good point and one I’m actually testing to see how it affects deer. One thing I’m trying is how deer react after I’m gone. You stated that the lighted nocks and the standard nocks should fly the same, how is this possible, when I change over I am about 13 clicks lower on the lighted nocks due to the 15 grains heavier weight per arrow.
@huntfish_outdoors5 ай бұрын
@@mash4fun well I have experienced the same thing but what I have found is every setup is different. I haven’t dug deep into it but I’d imagine that bow speed and arrow weight may have some contributing factors to that. I’ve had to make changes in previous setups but usually it’s just slight vertical changes. Last year and this years setup for me shooting the Halo Nocks have been pretty spot on.
