I have the same car, also problems with noise. Drive shaft, bearings, support bearing of propshaft, propshaft itself, tires? Several factors that can contribute, I had one bad drive shaft that I replaced, solved some of the noise issues. When I check wheel bearings I just spin the will slowly and listen for a grinding noise and then I check the play in the bearing, checking the play takes practice to spot and feel, unless the play is huge. Funny thing is that when I put the car on 4 supports the wheels start to hang down, exceeding the maximum allowable angle for the half shaft joints, and the wheels wobbled around like crazy if I drive the car when on the stands, so if anyone is doing that you have to support the car on the lower support arms of the wheels to keep the half shafts within reasonable angles.

Thank you! I could not figure out how to get the tab to press in enough to release until I watched your video. Having that gap and using a small flat screwdriver was exactly what I needed to know.

Nice troubleshooting …any ideas on why it started after fiddling with the #1 plug wire or was it a coincidence?

To disconnect and connect the "L" rubber pipe, craw underneath the vehicle and locate the pipe where it exits the firewall. It takes about three seconds to detach it from the fitting exiting that firewall and twice that time to install it on the fitting. Stay clear of the condensation dripping from the fitting. I used a half inch diameter bottle brush to clean pipe. I also changed the cabin air filters .

Thanks for the video. This helped me solve a very frustrating problem where the brake lights would not come on, but I'd already replaced the switch and relay. I also had ABS and traction control lights on and I didn't think the issues were related because the ABS lights had been on for months!

It is accessed from underneath the car.....the crank sensor is located just below the starter and under the little metal cover with 2 10mm bolts on it....Only way I could reach the sensor bolt was with a 1/4" breaker bar and 10mm socket..... a 1/4 socket swivel would not fit for me but the Craftsman 1/4" breaker bar did

This is nice. Ive had an issue with the gas pedal randomly not responding, the car dying but then at other times be fine. Had the alternator checked and its not charging consistently

Great video to show where the crank sensor is !!! I used a Craftsman 1/4" breaker bar and 10mm socket with a big flat blade screwdriver wedged in between the top of the socket and the axle to hold the socket to the bolt to crank it out.... Was a PIA but only used the 10mm socket and didn't have to remove axle or anything else other than the little metal cover in the video.....

Hello .. I have a Toyota Tokuma 96 .. It starts for a minute or less then stops. All the fuses were checked and everything was fine. The electricity does not reach the crankshaft sensor nor does it reach the injectors. What is the solution. Does anyone have an idea about this fault? The crankshaft sensor was replaced but to no avail.

If you all wondering (do I need to remove the passenger side axel?) answer is no. Although is easier to get to but you do not need to remove the axel. Use a 1/4“ swivel, 10mm socket, and long 1/4” extension. Sneek it between the axel. You may need to turn the axel at the base where there are grooves. It’s doable, trust me
