I've watched about 4 or 5 videos on San Michele, and as someone who has known and loved the book since schooldays, they were ALL dreadful. Yours is the best, because the house and gardens were not swamped with tourists (did you manage to film when there was no one else there?), and we got to see the rooms and gardens in peace, and the place looked uncommercialised, though I'm sure it is, in some aspects. One of the awful videos showed the large eating area, full of people having lunch. Necessary, I'm sure, to provide these amenities, but not conducive to showing the charm and romance of the house.

Very cool choice of music for the audio background. While that bird in the foyer is definitely not a swan, the music is a nice tie-in to the theme of the home. Stork? Egret? Blue Heron? Beautiful design here with no detail left untouched.

@VIKTORTRAPPSTEG3 жыл бұрын

- I read the book as a child. At 26 Internet visited this awesome place. I could hardly believe I Was There.
