Why do you have vct solenoids when you have locked out cam phasers?
@Oxman_Garage3 күн бұрын
The VCT solenoids have lightweight plates to reduce rotational mass. They are not lock outs.

Did you replace those intake valve seats after they ground on them? The chamber work looked terrible, especially for that much money.
@Oxman_Garage9 күн бұрын
I had a engine shop replace the seats. It was there CNC Service only. It's up to the customer to finish the heads up. At the time it was 800ish dollars. Now it's 1200

Excellent review! I thought about doing this but was like damn that skid is expensive but after watching you install it it's a must. My last F150 oil pan got damaged and was leaking and I rarely take off road. Not sure what happened, but I hit 18 wheeler rubber often on interstate. 🤷♂️

Nice runs! Virtually identical to my 5.0L stock for stock. Were your passes on premium fuel or 87?
@Oxman_Garage19 күн бұрын
I was told on the Facebook groups, I could have had a faster time in 4WD Sport mode. Im currently running 87 oct, and in video
@GotThrottles19 күн бұрын
@@Oxman_Garage Yeah, your runs are real-world application. Regular fuel, normal mode, and send it. With 91+ octane you'll get a little more out of the 3.5, but then you have to ask yourself is that the fuel you run everyday. I have a few videos on my channel of the stock 5.0 with a draggy. Very similar ET.

I don't claim to know all there is to know about head poeting but I would assert that the heads being messed with after the CNC qork was done is irrelevant. If there were any parts that the machine didn't touch then it is logical to assume that the areas were low and wouldn't impede performance in the least. For max effort all mptor builds then it may be worth a hp or 2 but I am skeptical even about that. Also...if one was doing a F/I setup I am not sure if any port work would be warranted. I have seen many people doing porting that I am co fident cost then hp instead of helping them get more. Again...just the input from a guy that has only ported a few heads.

i have a 2020 mustang 5.0, do you think it’s worth putting the gen 4 on for double CAI intakes ? I would run two after markets closed box lids and 2 after market throttle body’s ? or would i be producing the same power and results with same mods just gen 3
@Oxman_Garage27 күн бұрын
Sorry, the GEN4 intake manifold will not work with your 2020 Mustang GT. In the video I was referring to the GEN1 and GEN2 with Holley EFI control pack. I was told Holley might make a control pack for the GEN3 but I did not hear anything new as of yet.

Installed unit would not latch. Found the plastic damper was too small. Had to cut a little out. It's the black piece in the latch hole. Used a exact knife to trim alittle out. Works fine now.
