You do know that they are not actually sending away money, right? These aid packages are taking two forms. 1) - military equipment that have already been built years or even decades ago - all of which are older systems that the military doesn't even use anymore. 2) - grants from the government that Ukraine etc. can use to buy new equipment built from the American weapons industry, so the money stays in your country. So they are simply moving money from the US government into the private sector so it stimulates your own economy. And sending away military gear that the military has already retired and wouldn't use anyway, even if you go to war yourself. Literally the only thing that you lose by doing this is wargear that you would had to spend more money on decommissioning anyway.
