Bought 18 inch for $50, it was made in 2019, battery was not charging as it was too low for the charger, so seller sold everything for $50 in Melbourne, I put two solar panels in series and attach to battery to revive it to 65v then attached the charger, and now everything works fine, it’s power is like a petrol mower but without noise, pollution, and waste of money on petrol. I love it, I had ryobi 18v then 36v but this 82v is the best.

Do not overheat the Dewalt tools / Repetitive battery changes without allowing the tool to cool will result in tripping the heat sink in the battery, and to reset this you have to dismantle the battery and remove the connector plates on the side of the energy cells, Too much for me! After 3 batteries tripped I learned to allow the tool to cool.

Is the Milwaukee Fuel worth twice the price? Right now the Hackzall M18 is $79 for Black Friday deal, while the Fuel version has no discount at $169. Both are tool only.

15ah battery is required for the "2x the tq of 50cc "claim. It's stated clearly on the box. Retest with that battery, as the 20in saw was under powered the entire time.

Best tools for your bucks is Hikoki, 2nd is DeWalt, but Hikoki gives you the feeling none of them does.
@vladiordache9701Ай бұрын
Oh, and in my experience, the most durable batteries, the 5AH ones, but that is the management of the tool itself, the Hikoki grinder does twice the cuts a DeWalt and Milwaukee does

I have the 20" (new) and the 16"(3 years old). Ran both side by side bucking a 14" hardwood. Both with freshly charged 9ah batteries. Did 7 cuts with the 16 and still ok. At 6 cuts with the 20 it started to cut out every 2 seconds. Took the battery from the 20 and put it in the 16 and did 3 more cuts with the 16 to finish off the tree. The 20 is surely powerful and a bit faster than the 16. I'll be returning the 20 and running my 16 until it breaks.

Can you guys please do a comparrison on the 36v ryobi 18" and the dewalt 54v 18" , was going to get the AEG 58V but unfortunently they have stopped selling 8ah kits due to a battery issue. SO the choice is dewalt lor Ryobi - Cheers Billy
@OZToolTalk3 ай бұрын
we don't make videos on youtube anymore sorry. and we never did review DIY brands (like Ryobi). But I can say with a high degree of confidence that there will be a difference in quality in favour of the dewalt. Having said that, the Ryobi unit looks reasonably powerful, and may cut just as well as the Dewalt. The higher chain speed of the Ryobi makes it better for small timber (e.g. 150mm and under) and the Dewalt will be better at larger logs (say 250mm and above). These are educated guesses of course.

Yeah, I love this model. Trouble is I am rubbish at tight radius curves, failing to turn the tool fast enough as it progresses, so it goes wide on the bend. Not DeWalts fault, just mine!

I have both left and right saws. I think they both have a time and place. This may sound weird, but I much prefer the saw being on the off cut side. For me, the increased line of sight is worth the disadvantage of the blade tipping slightly. The biggest drawback I find with the rear handle/opposite side saws is doing plunge cuts in studs etc that are already vertical, as I then have to hold the saw in my left hand to cut to be able to see over the top of the blade, and this is where I always switch to the normal saw set up. I prefer to do my rafter cut offs from the roof and top plate, so it’s much nicer having the rear handle saw for this. I used to do them with the normal saw, and cut using my left hand, but it’s much nicer being able to do it right handed now.

I’d have the Makita XGT HP001G, and the problem with that was the anti-kickback would not turn on no matter what I did.

Is there some reason why Australia is extremely over-represented in KZbin rotary hammer/SDS videos? Maybe block and brick homes/buildings are mandatory or something? Not complaining. Just curious. Boltah -Downundah- [Downunder] (spelling?) was the first I saw when I got my new DCH133. He’s like an SDS version of Torque Test Channel. Next was some Aussie plumber [plumberparts] giving 11 tips on using dry a diamond core set where he also raves about a Bosch dust extractor and “Hoover” (vacuum) that wasn’t made by Hoover. ;) Now it’s you guys! I’m learning so much and I appreciate it (thanks!), it’s just weird that so many are from Oz and I’m curious to know why.
@OZToolTalk3 ай бұрын
yeah I'm not sure why. We don't use concrete more than the US I'd imagine. And no where near as much as Europe. We do have a LOT of brick homes. But our channel has tried to do comparisons on most of the most common tools over the years, so don't read into it too much.
