I really enjoy your channel.nikon drew people away from the nikon d90 with a built in motor by using the old you need more mega pixels trick.People fell for it. It's a lot cheaper to raise the mega pixels than to fit a built in motor.Plus nikon were raking in the money from people having to buy very expensive lenses thith built in motors in them.The video is maybe not the best but the stills images are superb,I leave the video's for someone sitting behind a desk telling you about a camera they have never even used.It is definitely not a learner camera,THE learner camera is the one with face detection and dog detection on it because if you dont know what a face or a dog is you should maybe leave photography alone.nikon d90 10/10 .

Hi dear Eric, Thanks a lot for your nice words, I enjoyed reading your comment 😊✌🏻 For me, I really love this camera, the only downside is the limited options in terms of the lenses, for example I would love having a lens like the tamron or the sigma 150-600mm, but they are built only for full frame cameras. Or the quality too, the image quality of the full frame cameras is defintly better On the other hand, ultra wide lenses like 10-20mm for example, I have one, or the 50mm lens I also have one.

Hi, found your channel cause i just ordered almost the same setup 😁 You seem to have the 70-300mm DG lens, mine is 70-300mm D DL Macro. Was wondering if the focus on yours also sounds very gritty, is it a fault or a feature? 🤭 Anyway, nice videos, keep em coming ✌

Hi dear friend, Yeah, I find the sound of the Autofocus clearly louder if I want to compare it to the Sigma 10-20mm lens or the Nikkor 50mm lens. Thanks a lot for watching and subscribing! 😁✌🏻

i have the lens in pentax mount. its great bang for buck. i had it, sold it to get the pentax 55-300 WR which is a much more expensive lens. I found it no sharper than this and it lacks the macro features, which is really hand for things like dragonflys that wont let me in range with a 50mm macro. I bought it back. Its also miles ahead of the tamron 75-300

Believe it or not 😅 I got this lens for only 50€ from an elderly man who doesn't need it anymore... As I bought it, I didn't imagine that some of my favourite photos are going to be taken with this lens.

I built my large image bank pics from Portugal, UK, Brasil, Egypt, by means of Nikon D90 + Nikkor glass and got prizes. It works very well after some years. In the Hurghada, crystal Red Sea my d90 was used inside a UW plastic system and it was possible to have good shots with 18 mm lens in the Giftun coral reefs and fishes. I was amazed.

Hi, I'm planning on trying this method. I have 2 lenses: Nikon 18-105mm & Sigma 70-300mm. I know sigma has a built-in macro, but I want to try more. I am planning on purchasing a reverse ring, but which lense should I go for? Sigma 70-300 or Nikon 18-105?
@TheMoodyPhotographer3 ай бұрын
Hi, I tried once to reverse the sigma 70-300mm, it was nearly impossible to be able to see anything lol. I think the reason is that it starts at 70mm, not like the 18-105mm which starts at 18mm. Update: I tried it now again, I could make macro only between 70-90 mm, the magnification is so weak, after 100mm you can't make macro photos at all because the focus distance starts to be so far away. That's why the 18-105mm is definitely better.

50mm f1.8D needs to be stopped down. It is RAZOR sharp after f2.8 up to f8. The image rendering with this lens is, to me, really good. Maybe due to micro-contrast. At f1.8, it is not sharp but good for taking photos of colourful abstract. And i agree, the af-s 50mm f1.8G is sharper wide open at f1.8.

Hi! You can find a link in the beginning of the description below.

Sounds like you got a bad copy/condition 50mm f/1.8D. It's the sharpest fast lens I've ever had, with very consistent dependable AF. Made me sell my 50mm f/1.4G, which was too soft even stopped down no matter how I tried to focus it, so maybe I got a subpar or rough-handled used copy of that lens.
@TheMoodyPhotographer4 ай бұрын
It seems like that, because it was really bad @f/1.8. I couldn't have that "nice sharp" photo under f/2.8. The opposite for F1.4G. F/1.4 ist not bad, but f/1.8 is sharper than f/1.4.
@socksonfeet81254 ай бұрын
I never realized how annoying it is when someone doesn't say the S over and over in lenS LOL. You just got a bad "LEN" :D, mine is tack sharp. I have a 50mm 1.4 from the 70's NOW THAT is a blurry ass LEN, but it is a beautiful kind of blur, its very cozy feeling!
@zetacrucis6814 ай бұрын
Hope you're not Falling Down over trivial mispronunciation by Syrian-born dude from Germany presenting a video in English 😝Agree on the 1.8D being plenty sharp: made me sell my 1.4G, which was way softer even stopped down.
