Going slow and actually talking helps people learn. This doesn't. Nor does two point perspective, or any other perspective have to be done this way. It overcomplicates perspective for beginners, and simply isn't necessary in any way. If you want to draw a house, basic or not, draw what you see and you'll get perspective automatically. Very often, you'll even improve on the formulaic way perspective is shown here. Learn to do perspective this way, and keep it up for too long, and you'll never be able to draw well without it. Too many are taught, or read, or watch videos, that basically say this is the only way to draw accurately. It simply isn't true. You may as well just take a photo, or copy from a photo which has zero creativity involved. Vanishing points are fine, but many of the greatest drawings in history were done before such things were turned into math and taught as a necessary way of drawing. Well, it is, I guess, if you want pretty cookie cutter drawings with no art in them. Draw what you see, the way that YOU see it, and then your drawings won't look identical to twenty million other drawings that were done with ruler in hand, and with formulaic perspective the only goal.
