@@invaderbunty2700 the new bat is already knocked in. You can absolutely use the bat in the nets and play with an old ball. However if you think your bat is not performing up to the mark or you notice any change on the face of the bat when the new ball hits it, it is advisable to get it knocked again. Unless the willow is fully compressed, there is a risk of the bat getting damaged
