I’m sorry but masking tape in the us isn’t made of plastic. It’s usually a blue paper like that that tears off easily by hand and we usually carry a razor in our mouth if we need a straight edge cut
@justgeorgeous4 сағат бұрын
we have that one as well. all have a purpose. so you so not have this plastic one then? it is very useful. maybe it is not called masking tape.

The best I (we) have for now - But I’m still hoping for VIDEO to surface of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” from Macon, GA, 10-27-18. Soomlos’ audio-only recording from that night (complete show) stands at the pinnacle of the intersection between performance and sound quality (lossless downloads are easy to find - lossy audio available on KZbin). The Macon arrangement is similar to this Paris video, save for several transcendent differences that elevate the Macon performance: PARIS: good recording, slightly muffled MACON: pristine, studio-quality; hailed as a top 5 audience recording (perhaps the best of all) PARIS: dark stage, Dylan in spotlight, Donnie visible behind, Charlie slightly visible in the shadows to the left MACON: dark stage Dylan in spotlight, Donnie visible behind; Charlie and Tony, outside the spot to the left at the beginning, inch closer as the song progresses as if being drawn (think Pied Piper) until the two of them along with Donnie form a semi-circle around Dylan; they remain there throughout, laser-focused on his movements PARIS : (3:00) piano break; (5:00) harp solo coda that rises then quietens at the close MACON: (3:00) HARP SOLO #1; (5:00) HARP SOLO #2 coda that builds to a crescendo at the close [timestamps approx.] PARIS: respectful crowd cheers briefly after the first verse, loudly at the end MACON: pin-drop silent crowd cheers briefly after each verse, including harp solo #1, then erupts at the end Personal anecdote [only for diehards with extra time on their hands]: As a Dylan fan for more than 50 years [14 shows in person, ‘own every album, as well as hundreds of ROIO recordings] I am commenting here only because this video is the closest I’ve found to my personal favorite Dylan moment ever: “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” - Macon, GA 2018. Because it is almost a perfect square, the Macon Coliseum (concert capacity 9000+) is unlike most rectangular indoor venues that host basketball and hockey events. The balcony level on each side basically has the same tiered structure/depth/height found in other arenas, but the balcony at the back facing the stage has but one section (10 rows, maybe). For concerts, the mixing board was located on the floor in the same location you might expect; except, from my front row seat in the center of the balcony, I could look straight down at the mixing board (perfect sound) in addition to being only a basketball court’s distance from the stage. In the past I’ve sat in the first three rows on the floor for three separate Dylan shows; this location was by far my favorite. The entire Macon show seemed surreal, the epitome of Dylan’s late-career renaissance that continues to this day. I was beyond happy when Soomlos’ recording surfaced, the sound quality was just as pristine as I had experienced. So even though I have a perfect aural record of that night, if someone possesses video footage of the show or even just for this one song, please post it. I can easily dub the audio (if you haven’t already done so). Finally, If I wanted to avoid ridicule (in addition to the ridicule I’ll already receive for perceived hyperbole and actual verbosity), I probably shouldn’t reveal how a 65 year-old man welled up during “Don’t Think Twice…” and maybe “It Ain’t Me, Babe” and possibly even “When I Paint My Masterpiece.” But he did!

Classic stuff here. One of bobs tightest touring bands, playing a screamer of a tune, with Phil Lesh himself on bass. However the best part has to be bob goin all out on his poses and classic shaky leg moves. How can you not smile when watching this.

Lifelong Dylan fan, but this is the worst version of this masterpiece that I could imagine. This version scorches and defiles the magnificent beauty of the 1983 original (which granted, he could no longer sing). Love Bob, but this wasn't right to re-interpret this particular song.
