Yknow Lay's. I'm no marketer. But I was just watching some youtube shorts and they were complaining about hydrogenated fats and high fructose corn syrup. They're not wrong, that stuff is bad. I think we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. And I was going to joke. You'd be better off scarfing down a bag of potato chips. Then I checked the ingredients and nutritional facts on a bag of Lay's chips, basic oil, basic potatoes, basic ingredients, made from plausibly natural sources. They contain somewhat difficult to get minerals. I didn't realize that until today. Why didn't I know potato chips can have magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium? I like fiber. I will often choose the snack with any fiber versus the one with zero fiber. If you ate 4 servings of Lay's potato chips, ok, you'd be at 28% of your daily recommended allowance of sodium. You'd also have 36% of your daily recommended amount of Potassium. 20% of fiber. From a natural source, not a powder. It's a potato. It's a fried potato. 8g of protein. Something is better than nothing. 8% Vitamin A. Some people get 0%. You could get more than 0% by eating Lay's potato chips. 16g of magnesium. If you're on well water or highly filtered water, that's a concern. "Mental health conditions are another possible effect of magnesium deficiency. I have a huge problem with lays chips. Its very frustrating to pay a huge price for something like potato chips and when you get them home they a half broken to the size of a nickel.
