the normal wd 40 is not adequate to lubricate. its great for cleaning rust and lubricate in a hurry, but you ll need to reapply more often than normal. i recomend WD-40 Long Lasting Spray Grease

Thanks for your. WD-40, is not a lubricant, better to use something else that is engineered to lubricate.

i used cheap chairs before there is definately difference between high quality chair and cheap ones if you spend time on your computer like 1-3 hours a day go for cheap chair its ok but if you spend 7+ hours a day sitting on your computer you should definately buy a good quality chair.

I just got this chair even though this one is the first generation of the Kaiser I prefer this, because this is specifically built for taller and larger people. I have tried a lot of chairs in the past and none of them compare to the build quality and sturdiness of this chair. Built like a tank, and the heaviest one as well. I had a hard time carrying it to my room upstairs. Heavier means quality steel and parts are on it. I highly recommend this chair for big folks like me. I have been searching for a chair like this for a long time. Your review helped me on my decision. Thank you

Isn't it amazing how many people are buying these typing of computer chairs, then after a while they develop this horrendous squeak!! Just look at the number of views and comments on this video! Surely this problem is well known to the manufacturers, I wonder if they are doing something about it, probably not. Just want the money for their very noisy chairs.

This video here is what u should do but do not use wd-40 (regular one), it has cleaning properties and not so much of lubrication. Use WD-40 Silicone spray. More expensive but it lubricates. And do not lubricate the gaslift with WD-40 (neither one). Use synthetic grease for that.

I'm wondering if when you lean back reclining not putting the back down but just the general reclining backwards sitting if it's really hard or if it reclines backs easy

Sunflower oil has a shelf life. You'll be sitting on rancid oil if you use that instead of WD40 or some other lubricant.

No deal. Bolts were tight, I installed them with thread tape when I assembled it so they won't be coming lose. The squeak is for sure coming from the cylinder but I oiled it thoroughly and I'd call it a 50% reduction in squeaks. This fn chair cost me an arm and a leg and has become the bane of my existence. I'd love to watch it burn in my backyard.

Andaseat Kaiser 3 had terrible squeak for me, got a replacement coming but they would only replace it till a coil started popping out and they said they could send me a charcoal mat but after I mentioned the 2 year warranty they decided to send me a new chair. They will really try and convince you there’s no issue. I appreciate them honoring the warranty in the end but honestly as expensive as it is I would say just go hermin Miller. I will say I did like the chair, but these things wear down after about a year of use.

Jesus christ... I bought WD 40 specialist with white lithium specifically designed for metal to metal connections. Just gave it a quick spray around where the cylinder contacts the base of the chair and the seat, flipped it back up a minute later and all the noise is completely gone. Thanks for the video, because the cylinder would be the last thing I'd try. I was going crazy tightening all the bolts.

Greetings from the future, and thanks for the video. Fixed me right up. In my case it was the metal piece that rotated when the chair moved backwards, creaking against what it was attached to.

Thanks for making it very clear that a pen mouse isn't suitable for drawing and handwriting. I was considering a pen mouse for just those purposes and now I know that what I really need is a stylus. 👍

I have had a absolute nightmare with this company after paying the most I ever have for a office chair I expected a ergonomic chair that does the job it states. I was so wrong. After purchasing this chair as soon as built it felt like it was tilting to one side. I got a spirit level and tried it on different floor surfaces but the chair was definitely unlevel. I reached out to the company who have sent 3 different parts to change on the chair which has led me to labour over rebuilding the chair multiple times but it still has the same issue! I also ended up with a bill from FedEx for them sending out replacement parts from China and not paying enough shipping. They recently sent me a new chair in exchange however this arrived with out the legs so is useless. I am now lumbered with a load of chair parts and 2 useless chairs which has not only caused me back pain but also are completely useless. Avoid this company. I will be getting my money back I am currently talking to consumer rights in the UK.
