Rod Serling simply _had_ to have been familiar with this film when he was developing _The Twilight Zone._ Even in this brief trailer there are tropes he'd return to, from ventriloquists' dummies that are alive ("The Dummy", "Caesar & Me") to dreams spilling over into the real world and vice versa ("Shadow Play", "Perchance to Dream").

Back in the day, this estimable gentleman was a MEGA STAR. My mother was a massive fan, and she met him at The Top Rank in Swansea, where he was performing. She cherished the photograph he signed, " To Avril, all my love, Ryan ". It had pride of place on the sideboard, being dusted every day, until the day she died. I saw him live in Pontardulais, and he was magnificent. RIP Ryan bach.

What a talent we lost but how lucky Wales was to have him although a short time ❤

Only just discovering Ryan's work. Such a shame that he died so young, you can tell how well he was loved in Wales. Massive talent.

Possibly the best supernatural horror film ever made, all the more so since with one exception the stories are similar to documented cases of people's claimed encounters.

That is just wonderful . Most evenings I sit with radio 6 playing in the background . Never let's me down because the patience rewards me with an outstanding tune or song.

I recall when he died, I was 9 and riding my was my Raleigh Tomohawk in Swansea. A nother kid told me with abject sadness "Ryan has died". Even as a 9 year old I knew it was a tradgedy. ❤

I'm an English pensioner who came across this song several years ago. I love the melody, and when sung in Welsh I have to treat the vocals as another instrument. However, I have seen an English translation, and of course it is a sad song. I've heard many versions of the song, and usually sung quite well, but this version with Ryan Davies' vocals conveys the 'soul' of the words by far the best of any versions I can recall. : - {

It's not a horror film of course, but Mervyn Johns sticks out for me as Bob Crachit from the "best" "Scrooge," with Alistair Sim (I have been encouraged to see the 1938 version of course).
