hi I have a mercedes w176 with ngt4.5 with the 5.8 inch screen and I would like to put the original 7 inch screen alone so can it work?

It was never tested with a upgrade of bigger screen, not sure if its ok, you might want to try and let us know. however it definitely fits on factory fitted size. thx

Do the steering controls work with this ? i have an Mr12Volt unit on a bmw 7 series F01 , works verry well , but steering controls never worked for skipping songs ,

@mr12volt Am I right, if there is no USB modul in a 2010 Jaguar XF (X250) I can't select USB in the MENU and so not able to use your interface? Is there a tutorial to upgrade the audio system, so that I can use it with some extra work in changing components of the Jag audio system? 🙂

without a USB menu, you will then need to conduct a coding of the USB feature thr 3rd party software

After connecting mr12Volt to my BMW X5 E70, the display CIC no longer turns on when the key is inserted into the car or the engine is started. It turns on and off only by pressing the volume button. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Я за стоимость этой штуки спокойно куплю двойную магнитолу на алике, у которой есть режим родного экрана, она встает идеально на место стандартного экрана, имеет хороший блютуз и applecarplay, ну и впринципе куда практичнее чем вот эта бесполезная xрень которая по сути работает как фм-модулятор за косарь

The key piece of missing video is the connection from the head unit LVDS (Gray) cable to the Mr12Volt LVDS out (purple) cable. I also found it interesting that at the beginning of the video, they state "Please keep power off during the installation" yet, at about 1:50 in the video, the key seems to be in position 2 as dash and climate controls are clearly lit up... I have not done the installation yet and I have sent a note to Mr12Volt on the "power" question about a week ago, no response to date...

I watched the video several times before the installation to familiarise myself, then put it on 0.75x speed and paused it regularly. In reality it's not that easy to disconnect the fibre optic cable from the USB unit without discounting the unit to find the release tab. The daughter-board installation part is good and well filmed, but reattaching the main loom to the new cables is very poor - there are 3 fibre optics plugs that can connect to any of the 3 connectors on the new loom and it's almost impossible to see what they're plugging into what. After lots of pause and rewind I got there. In the end the whole process took 2 hours including hunting for the Mlink software to connect. Mr12volt supplies a great bit of kit but awful instructions. You can download a wiring diagram but why don't they just put it in the box? And why no link or QR code for the Mlink software?

I agree entirely. Support is there if you contact Liam he always replies. But for the simple act of providing better instructions then surely it would save everyone’s time. I’ve done an install and initially it didn’t work. Cause was (I hope) a ribbon cable not quite pushed in far enough. There are 2 from the motherboard to the new board that are close together and one is stopping the other. Also no mention of the red and grey thin connector at the very bottom of the unit. Does it need to be reconnected or is it redundant? I’m now hoping when I reconnect it tomorrow it works ok. Music drove me round the twist too. Better with none.
