Thats what I thought as well. Sometimes I feel like we're all just cogs in this giant machine of late-stage capitalism. I see it everywhere-this relentless push to consume more, work harder, and sacrifice our well-being for profit. It's exhausting. As a woman, I feel like I'm constantly balancing expectations: be productive, be 'perfect,' and somehow find fulfillment in a system that values me more as a consumer than as a human being. Honestly, it makes me question how much of my life is truly mine and how much is just shaped by this system. We deserve better than this grind. I hope you folks have a nice fall/autumn<3

This video is 3 years old now but I stumbled on it again and it's just wonderful. Private Idaho is a movie that means a lot to me and using River Phoenix's voice here (especially these lines, which were apparently improv by River at the time and not in the script of the movie) with this scene makes my heart ache. I dunno if we'll ever get a Banana Fish dub but it really does deserve one! In the meantime, I'll just watch this on repeat and cry, ahaha.
