Worth doing a comparison to the Ultra Vivid Scene track of the same name that was released at a similar time, not quite so intense but not far off.

The Birthday Party's - Release The Bats Is worth a listen. Nick Cave and his previous band. If you haven't discovered them already that is.

Thank you for choosing Nick Cave! You selected a nice song, but the absolute wrong version. Nobody, even Nick himself, were happy about the audio quality. That song was an easy prey for Johnny Cash - listen to his gorgeous version. Or to a Nick Cave live version of this song. The album version is the worst, unfortunately.

Eerie and haunting. Is it about the killing of a little girl, or the metaphorical killing of her past self? Who can tell. Memorable and nasty - in a good way. Try her songs "To Bring You My Love" and "Sheela-na-Gig" or the more recent "The Ministry of Defence".

Love this song and the depth of Hope's talent when she wrote this at the age of 19.

Love this song by PJ… just a mezmerizing song. Haunting. You should check out her “LET ENGLAND SHAKE” album… it’s brilliant. Great tracks from that: “THE GLORIOUS LAND,” “ON BATTLESHIP HILL,” and / or “ENGLAND.” Another banger is her duet with Thom Yorke of Radiohead called “THIS MESS WE’RE IN.” Amazing stuff.

You comment - "Pleasurable band" had me smiling. Yes, you COULD say that. 😅 Not QUITE sure where you got "butt stuff" from, HOWEVER it IS sexual. (You remembered seeing mountains in the video. Do you realise what can look somewhat like mountains? I'll give you a hint - you WON'T find them on guys. 😉) "Starts with a kiss" & "take it hip to hip" - some particular actions happen this way quite often & there MAY be some roaming 1st ("if you want to.") They couldn't make it completely explicit, so the video shows roaming around the actual world, but as you noticed, some OTHER visuals were thrown in. I can't say whether you have a dirty mind or not, but your thoughts on THIS song aren't a testament to anything other than that you "pick up on some things."

This is a timeless song that's become a part of the human experience to each one who's found it. Some art transcends what it may have started as, and across the gulf of troubles that seem to entangle us a human hand reaches out to find another and shares that comfort that once seemed to escape us

I was walking home from school one day when I was 12 (1984) and I saw a mixed tape on a bench. Someone left it there and no one was around so I took it. I had recently gotten a Sony Walkman so I was excited to see what was on the tape. I Ran was the first song and I was transfixed! I loved the sound and to my delight the rest of the tape was a collection of new wave synth pop. I was hooked and my life has never been the same since 😂

The lines: You were there, departing, starting A trek I once took, With that ‘no one’s gonna stop me when you feel this way!’ look Are perfect, lyrically this song is incredibly strong. My opinion he’s on about those taking his place as the en vogue music artists from Manchester. Chorus is catchy because of the delivery, repetition and the alliteration. apparent, apparent, (h)eir apparent - I’d go further than album and say this should have been a single, A side.
@laineynova6 күн бұрын
The song was written at the start of Brit Pop....Manchester band Oasis, James... Morrissey could see the hype for the younger bands who were taking his place as the favourite music front man. I can imagine Morrissey saying this to Noel Gallagher, who he likes a lot. Th eaong is a cautionary tale about success and fame.
