Love that moment around 56:00 where they go from volume level 1 to 11 in a split second. I remember them playing Mogwai Fear Satan at Connect Festival at Inverary. During the lull one of the uninitiated in the crowd shouted "play a new f**king chord!!" moments later all our ribs were crushed under the weight of 150 dB of pure Mogwai soundcrete.

Many thanks for this! Being from Glasgow i made the trip to Edinburgh in march to see them since i was surprised the east kilbride boys hadn't announced a show at the barras and i was scared i'd never get another chance...they're now playing the barras in December! Anyone go to the St Luke's show? Tiny venue for a loud band. Usher Hall Edinbugh was brilliant, they met every expectation i had, many many great songs. 👏 Glasgow Eyes will be the soundtrack to my summer, that's if climate change ever gives us a summer.

First and foremost, thank you, Vic Galloway for this wonderful interview with the Reid Brothers, kudos indeed! I'm going to try to keep my comment as short as possible, anyway, here we go. Some years back Iggy Pop gave a talk on BBC, and during the talk he mentioned listening to the radio and how that one special song would pop up among the usual fare. And Iggy teared up when mentioning it ( and hey, so did I ), and Jim talked about listening to Radio Luxembourg under the sheets. It was the connection - that was the magic. And lastly, this : On KZbin you can find Jim's response ( as he mentions here ) to that interviewer when asked about Joy Division and Jim replying " Oh dear God, no, not Joy Division"... Lol.

I discovered King Creosote in the album Diamond Mine with Jon Hopkins. His voice is just beautiful. His lyrics awesome too, what a great artist.

This is how a gambler lose their winnings, they spend the winnings back in the Bookie. Or they lose it by booting their prosthetic leg (stashed with their winnings) out of their tower block window.

This is what bookies do now online, you get a huge win and they make up any excuse not to pay you. They demand all sorts of ID you send them in and it's never good enough. The gambling commission is corrupt and part of the act when they are meant to be on the punters side. Beware going for the big hit like Winston did because every chance they will not pay you out....
