You say in the video and some of your blog posts that we can subscribe and get your free monthly calendar that shows the rotating tasks for the month at the bottom. I just subscribed and downloaded the free calendar for this month (November). I am very disappointed because it only shows the daily and weekly tasks - no extra rotating tasks. How am I supposed to keep up with the cleaning when so much of the cleaning tasks are not included on the calendar???

HI WendyyOnline! This video is from 6 years ago and I’ve made quite a few updates since then to the routine and how it’s shared. This newer video will help! kzbin.info/www/bejne/faWtkJKgoNdsnLc

I can't go buy a schedule because different things keep coming up so that I can't stay on a cleaning scheduale. Also I have bad arthritis fibromyalga and vertigo which I have to go by how my body is doing.

I really can't handle doing this *at night!* The last thing I want to do once I've washed up after dinner is start work again. I leave the washing up to drain and air-dry overnight, then in the morning, I put it all away, wash and dry the half-dozen things I used at breakfast, and *then* clean the sink. It works just as well, and doesn't break up my evening's leisure.

Thank you so much for making these videos and for the systems you came up with, and taking the time to share. After a major family and community crisis my routine went to pieces. Your ideas are sensible, kind and doable and will help me get on track better than ever! God bless 😊

Your system is nearly the same as my own --- basic chores that get done daily (i.e. making beds, dishes, laundry if needed, etc.) but I have them scheduled for different days. The end is the same, a decently clean house all the time without trying to kill myself over it all on one day. I used to try to do that before finally discovering the Sidetracked Sisters in the late 80s. Since then I have worked smarter by spreading out my chores, a little each day. Thank you for what you do, Becky. Young women today aren't taught how to keep house but you give them simple tools to manage it. By the way, old as I am I recently discovered that dusting with damp microfiber tools really picks up dust well. Today is dusting day for me so this morning I carried both a damp microfiber cloth and damp wand with a microfiber duster on its end. Very effective.

Could anyone tell me who has closely followed the routine, how many hours a week of cleaning is this? I've been taking the cleaning one room at a time approach which seems to work but I'm spending so many hours cleaning every week that I'm not getting other important stuff done.

Thanks for the video, I've been super Good at doing daily tasks for years. I figured that through out the years . It keeps your house in order eliminates alot of chaos... its the Weekly Tasks i was getting stuck, then I would just give up, I wasn't able to organize a simple and effective way of cleaning. So when did clean i was Cleaning 2-3 hours a day because i was procrastinating ignoring and overwhelmed a few days in a row, and then, I would think this is way too much time, and then stsrt the vicious cycle monthly. Yet getting mor9e and more behind😒😰 .. So thank you!! this cleared my head of being overwheled. With having to care for 4 kids on top of chores, cooking, homeschooling shopping, church, self care .... etcetera🙂

I found you in December and it was something I needed…especially when we were having so many people stay with us for the holidays. I’ve been using your system for several weeks now and can’t tell you how much neater my house is, and more importantly, how much less stressed I am about cleaning my house (or how messy my house is). This even worked with my house full of people staying with us. The five daily tasks and that weekly tasks are game changes for ME. THANK YOU so much for sharing your system.

Thankyou for sharing your wisdom. I've tried the fly lady routine and it went kinda ok for awhile but i didn't keep up with it and things fell behind again. I have five kids, three of them teens and we live in a small house so it gets messy quick. I'll get started with the daily routine and hopefully make it a habit and move on to adding the weekly tasks. Thankyou for sharing !

I would like some tips on cleaning restroom walls and ceilings when your restroom is not too big or well ventilated. We keep the fan on and open windows but its just annoying to be showering and seeing what the bathroom steam does. I just started squeegee method but that has been so frustrated as well as cleaning baseboards with products that won't mess up the paint. Tips please 😁

I have my baking soda in a salt shaker (with some grains of rice to keep humidity low). Normally I scrub my sink with the coffee grounds from my french press - the grounds. Sadly I’m allergic to essential oils. But nightly sink scrub is such a central part of cleaning routines.

My kitchen sink and taps used to make me feel a bit sad as I could never get them looking as good as the cleaner I had to help me when my boys were little did. I’m on day 3 of scrubbing my sink and I can’t believe the difference it makes to my mood when I get up in the morning!
