I love how raw you are and honest. Every video I've seen has the person making something perfectly with NO mistakes. It gets a little overwhelming and discouraging sometimes. I'm nowhere near how good they are. I did just start maybe a couple of months ago. I'd never even heard of wire wrapping or seen it. So I'm not good or consistent at all. One piece I can follow with no problems, but lately, it's like I've regressed. I'm messing everything up that I touch. So it's a bit refreshing to see someone who is real about it. Thank you! By the way, I think you did great!

Thank you, I think it is better to show mess-ups. That way I can show how to do work arounds. On another one I broke a wire I have no idea how I did it unless I cinched it down too much. I showed a work around for it. I usually have an idea what I want to do but sometimes the stone, bead or wire decides different. I keep going until I know I can't get it to work. You will have good days and bad days wire wrapping, you just have to keep trying, eventually you will be where you want to be. I am so out of practice, and I had to look at one of my old pendants to try to figure out how I did it I couldn't remember after 10 or more years. I guess I am getting old. Thank you so much for watching. If there is anything you need help on or seeing better let me know I will try to get a video up.

The video isn't that bad actually. I know that staying in frame is all but impossible doing this by yourself. I know if I tried to make tutorials, I'd struggle with a lot of things and you're doing a good job. I do have some suggestions to make your teaching more effective if you'd like for me to share.

Yes, if I could see the screen the whole time it wouldn't be so hard. I asked my son if he could make it stay on all the time and he said no, so for a little bit I can see what I am doing on the screen then it goes off. I just found out that I can touch it, and it will come back on, so I have been trying to touch it every so often but when I do it makes the gopro sound like I hit it with a hammer on the video. LOL I really need a different set up I am working on a roll top desk I really need more room on the desk I wind up working on the edge. You wouldn't think I was doing a good job if you saw the video I made tonight, I like wire wrapping odd shape stones and it has been years since I did one like this and the last time, I made a pendant video was around new year's. I was trying to make a better video so I could show better, and I messed up starting off I should have just cut the wire off and started over but I didn't it turned out ok but I doubt anyone would be able to follow it and I don't know if I will post it unless just to show what not to do. LOL I am open to suggestions; I have never really taught anyone before unless I am right with them this is hard to do and the gopro is about 8 inches to a foot above my hands. I used to have it sitting in another area but then when I tried to crop the picture it was really grainy that is why I have it where I do now. I can show close ups as long as I stay in the frame, the other way I was in the frame, but I couldn't show close ups. Thank you for writing back and I am open to suggestions, I really want to improve my videos. Thanks for watching.

Trying to get a detailed video on my own is hard but I will try to get a better one. I have a few like this video that maybe they have some part I didn't get the best view on this video. If I can ask which part was hard to follow maybe I can do a video showing that part. I am planning to make more pendants this weekend so if there is a certain part you would like to see better, please let me know I will try to get a better shot of it. If it is when I connected on the back of the pendant, I play that by ear and find the best place at the time to put the wire for me that seems to change on each pendant. If you are just starting out get some craft wire at a craft store or a roll of 20, 22, or 24 gauge copper wire I found some at the hardware store. The easier to work with would be the 24 gauge it will be easier to bend and as you practice then move up to 20 gauge. The good thing about copper is that if I ever have scraps too small to use for anything else, like earrings or bracelet links or something that I messed up on I keep it in a bag to get my son to melt together into a long strip then I hammer it to make a bracelet like a bangle type bracelet. I hope to hear which part you would like me to show better, and I appreciate you watching my video. If you have any questions, please ask I will try to help.

I bought them years ago, 15 to 20 years ago. I really don't remember. I was a member of a bead buying group on Yahoo Groups They would do group buys to get better prices and I think they moved to Facebook It is possible that they are still there doing buys I just lost my contact with the group when they moved to Facebook. So, it was either on a group buy or on Fire Mountain. I wish I could be more help. I love that stone, I just wish I would have gotten more at the time. Thanks for letting me know the name of the stone, it had been so long I must have remembered someone saying it looked like a honeycomb. Thank you so much for watching, I plan to make a pendant out of a piece of it in the new year sometime.

The video starts out about an hour or more then I cut as much as I can out of it, and sometimes speed it up some. If I wasn't videoing, I could probably do it faster than an hour. I spend a lot of time just deciding what I am going to make and what I am going to use. LOL

Gorgeous! At first I thought it was a beetle! You made that dichroic glass? That’s beautiful! An iridescent beetle would be cool.

Thank you. Yes, I was doing lampwork, and since I had a kiln, I thought why not make your own cabochons, so I bought the glass, and the Dichroic glass and slumped it in the kiln. When I would have a bead that I made break I would also slump it. I have another video of a dichroic glass and one of a bead that I made into a cab that I posted earlier. If I ever find a bead, or cab like that I will try to wrap it. I am so glad you liked it. Have a wonderful weekend

Yes, LOL I get it in frame and then out again. I need about 3 cameras and a bigger table and someone else filming LOL. The Gopro I am using the screen it lights up for a few seconds and then you are on your own, I just cross my fingers and go for it. I am determined to get it right but I have a lot of videos that I am editing that are old, I hate not to post them. Bear with me ,I will figure out what to do. I do appreciate you watching I hope you got something from the video, Hope to see you again,
