Just a tip! If you use the toilet paper roll or paper towel roll there is always a sticky residue thing on it. I just rinse it off with water and I know it’s paper so I just do it for about like 5 seconds then let them dry for a few hours before I give them to my piggie. I don’t know if the sticky stuff Is harmful or not but I just would rather be safe than sorry.

You gotta stick your hand in the hideout to let him know that you are there are going to lift the hideout so you don't spook him. You then slowly lift the hideout until you can get a grip on them. Don't bolt to pick them up because it might scare the piggy. Try to do things slowly.

I can’t even get to this point I try giving him treats and space and I pick up his box instead of him and he just runs away like as soon as I start walking to the house we made for him he runs behind his brother we got him from a pet store and o feel bad bc i can’t do anything to help him feel good

Yeah I can't hold my guinea pigs like that none of them, I can grab them in all three of these ways, but holding their arm between my fingers is a no-go it does not make them feel more sturdy at all it makes mine think I'm trying to like hold them down or confine them or something, All three of my girls will start making noise and fight as hard as they can to get their hand out of my fingers. Two out of the l Three use their front paws to communicate with me constantly. If I pet them in a way they don't enjoy and I do it more than just once they'll immediately like look behind them as far as they can and then put their paw on the finger that's doing it and just hold it there looking at me disappointed lol

That's a bign. I'm new to owning guinia pigs and I bought my two from a pet shop when they were almost a year old. They have grown so much since that I was beginning to think I was overfeeding them. I did not realize they got as big as a rabbit.wow!!mine arnt that size though. Great advice
