Great footage from the days when train travel on the former LSWR mainline London to Exeter used to be interesting -unlike the miserable pre-Class 158/159 operations that followed.

Today we only see 33's, 47's and 50's on special occasions. It just goes to show that every day on the railway back then was a special occasion. Without these amazing shots being captured it would have all been condemned to memory. However, it's all now history for us all to remember and enjoy. Thank you for sharing. Superb.

When I'm reminded of Hoovers in the 80s I still go green wishing I'd had more opportunities at the time. Still, they lasted well.
