The CPP has tried to suppress ethnic and traditional cultures. Flooding Xinjiang and Tibet with Han Chinese is an example of this. Even educated Chinese can sometimes struggle with the idea of culture. I took some Chinese professors to a Pow Wow in Canada; they could not conceive of the event as anything other than a government-organised event for tourists. What is left of Chinese culture is of immense value and the CPP needs to realise this.

The era of useful idiots like Kissinger simping for CCP is over. The guy here is from Kissinger Associates. CCP still thinks it can capture political elites of US and nobody will notice. Hell, even business elites are pressured to divest from China and chamber of commerce is dead. Now, even the most dovish administrations and officials in Washington will look like unprecedented China hawks. CCP's time is up. Comprehensive decoupling is the future. It's inevitable.

The Western rhetorics of Blaming Xi Jinping or China for the deterioration of the Sino-U.S. relations in the last 15 years is ludicrous. There is clearly a consensus among the American elites that China has become a formidable threat to the U.S. global hegemony and has to be stopped. An interview between ABC News and Obama was posted on the 15th of Apr 2010, which was before Xi became the president of China, and in which, Obama said: “If over a billion Chinese citizens have the same living patterns as Australians and Americans do right now, then all of us are in for a very miserable time.” Robert Daly, a so-called American diplomat, not that long ago, summed it up in the clearest terms and admitted openly the U.S. plan to sabotage China. This is what he said: “The U.S. must make sure that we do not have a peer competitor for our security. Think about what this means. This is a brutalist philosophy. The proposition is that even if China were to change in some of the ways that proponents of engagement have been said that we hope it changes, even if they, just as a thought experiment, adopted our Constitution and our laws wholesale, we should still try to limit their growth, merely because we shouldn’t have a peer competitor. That is the proposition, regardless of beliefs, regardless of people striving for human flourishing along the lines that we have been prescribing to the world for decades. If they actually appear to be succeeding, regardless of their beliefs, we must stop them, even if it means pushing them back toward poverty.”

Chinese politburo prioritise tech self-reliance above everything else. At least until 2025 as stated in the Made in China 2025 industrial policy. So less than 2 year left. I guess they will start rebalancing after that. Keeping the tech lead momentum going with more funding in EV, solar, battery, drone, power semiconductor, AI, reusable rocket, 5G, rare earth magnet, robotic, LEO satellite are worth the short term slow growth in their mind. Personally I think supply side policy is harder than demand side policy. Afterall, what so hard about quantitaitve easing.
