No one owns the earth Nourishing her seeds through the wintertime No one owns the place where The beginning meets the end Circles and circles as Canadian geese Make a southbound V in the sky Ashes to ashes, earth to earth When she inhales we die When she exhales we give birth No one owns the sky No one owns the sand and sea No one owns time Or a melody Circles and circles as a crow alights And cocks his head and eye Ashes to ashes, earth to earth When she inhales we die When she exhales we give birth No one owns the sun Or a kitty cat sleeping by a window pane No one owns a life Even if we know its name Circles and circles as the plants stretch forth Their leaves to the light Ashes to ashes, earth to earth When she inhales we die When she exhales we give birth No one owns a child Holding his toes swinging in a swing set No one owns the light in his eyes Circles and circles around the moon As the frogs sing a spring lullaby Ashes to ashes, earth to earth When she inhales we die When she exhales we give birth

I always argue that it's because of Europes access to livestock that boosted their technology.

Well, Africa, the middle east & Asia did too, so one would have to come up with an additional factor that differentiates them. Also, why did it take Europe until 1500, since they had livestock the whole time?
