I wouldn't think an alien energy in a human body would be so docile and unintelligent. But then again, when you steal anything you most likely to become a victim of that objective.

Jim Whaley is an android. Seems ill-suited to this job as film interviewer, and would probably be better at working as a bank teller or warehouse employee. Give me another Roger Ebert, please. Someone who loves movies and when talking about movies, you can hear it in their voice and know that they have a knowledge about film. This stuffed shirt is stuffed. Almost put Carpenter and the audience to sleep in 1984.

I thought he did a good job, if a bit ambiguous, like a kid who knows the answers to a test but can only come up with them after being prodded a bit. he seemed to have some personal feelings that were contrary to what he expressed, hard to tell if and when he was lying. I'm surprised someone else picked up on anything like that though.

An unrealistic attitude. You will usually find a free horse has a serious issue an amateur cannot solve. Breeding and sales of horses is what allows the industry to continue. These aren't kitties and puppies, they are large animals that require knowledge to deal with.

@XxShellyW13xX4 жыл бұрын
What are tail sets?
@grumpyotter4 жыл бұрын
@@XxShellyW13xX They cut muscles in the horse's tail--this is called 'nicking." Then they fold the bones of the tail into a device called a tail set, to force it into an unnaturally high position. It not only causes the tail to eventually lose most sensation (if the sets are not in place, the normally flexible and useful tail will flop around like rubber) but it puts pressure on the spine of the horse as the tail is arched up much higher than they'd carry it normally. And the whole point is FASHION. They think it looks good. It does not improve performance, or assist the horse--they just think it looks fancy to force a horse to carry their tail in an unnatural position. Saddlebreds are beautiful horses with wonderful NATURAL confirmation--I have no idea why this barbaric practice continues. It's disgusting.
@XxShellyW13xX4 жыл бұрын
Geez, really no better than what they do to Tennessee Walkers, making them do the Big Lick, another form of torture and abuse in the name of FASHION. Geez, and here I thought that the AS people were better than that, shame on them. ABOLISH TAIL SETS!
@grumpyotter4 жыл бұрын
@@XxShellyW13xX Indeed. You know, at least with big lick is DOES have a purpose--to change the gait. It is horrifying and cruel and the horse's natural gait is so much better--but it actually does have a point to it. Tail sets are just for looks. Just to be clear--NOT defending big lick--i despise it, and am glad action has been taken to stop it, at least in some places. But most folks don't even know about tail sets.

Great interview! Even if I strongly disagree with Carpenter's thoughts on Halloween II. I really like this interviewer too. Sad that he died so young. Bold statement but as much as I love the original Halloween, I think there is a good argument that Halloween II is an even more effective late night after hours horror film to watch at that time of night even more than the original (the masterpiece that it is).

I have very strong opinions about the Amish issue and have really pissed off a lot of people with my opinions.... and I’m talking about the time I witnessed such cruelty of which the buggy was huge and full of 18_20 people and the ASB had bloody knees from trying his hardest to get the buggy to the auction so that they can get there to again get another one. And I do understand that they have certain ways of which a capable horse is a crucial part of the family transportation! But just because some have harness training doesn’t mean that they are or were the perfect horse for the work that they are expected to be able to do. Work above and beyond the amount of weight and endurance.the same goes for Standardbreds. I have read that Morgan’s are “too slow.” But what I saw when that ASB with labored breathing, skinned knees and lame to boot was straight effed up!
