You know, I actually liked this!! While I'm a New Zealand conservationist living in a remote rural area and kill possums on sight as well as trap them for fur, [as an introduced invasive pest species, they do massive ecological harm to our forests and birdlife in NZ. Maybe we could turn them into '501's ;) ] I love seeing a native species in their country of origin. They're 30% larger, aggressive and breed up to 3 times a year over here! Our 'Kiwi' version would beat up your dog, steal your car and eat the cat, heh heh. Great story, good animation, nice ending [especially for a conservationist like me who treat our indigenous species in much the same way, minus the irritated door slamming]. Although my boys and I did comment on the scene where he picks up the possum - they have a tendency to inflict VERY nasty bites if they get a hold of you [unless they're under 1 year old]. Only right way to pick them up is by the tail - they can't curl up on you, and if they try you just give them a wiggle and they lose their balance.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's unfortunate they are a pest in New Zealand in Australia they are quite nice and usually just try to steal things from the garden. Thanks for the insight on how to hold a possum Ill keep that in mind if I ever have to haha.
