You would think the PC would be able to accurately read the voltage,the modules in international Trucks monitor better with their multiplex systems.They use it to tell you you have a fuel pump struggling and going bad it throws a code.That's when I put a gauge to measure actual fuel pressure.I do not bother checking HZ because the BCM can monitor that just fine,but mechanically it can not see the bearings are bad in a pump and straining by blockage or just wear and tear on the motor and putting too much load on it.

What is a PC (rootstock?). Also Dr. Funk seems to have enough green that maybe it could survive by itself? Curious how much green is required for cacti to be able to live and root (unlike a moon cactus scion)

PC is predominant cultivar, It's the most common san pedro in America. If you're lucky enough you might even find them sold in home depot. They're everywhere in California. My parents friend have a huge PC stand in their backyard and don't know what it is. It's really cheap since it's so easily available, and also because it doesn't have a high "medicine" content

You should only water your cactus at night because it is when the Roots open up to receive water. Not during the heat of the day because they are closed.

@TheChurchofCacti
@TheChurchofCacti Жыл бұрын
These are actually not Desert plants but they can survive the hot Desert Summer Sun with a few tweaks. These are all Trichocereus from South America. They're more of a mountainous plant than Desert plant. They can handle a lot more water and thrive in high 70s to mid 80s Fahrenheit weather. The Desert Cactus like Saguaro or Barrell Cactus can stay nice and plump even in 120F Weather for months with little to no water. My plants actually go dormant in that heat and start looking funky until it cools down in a couple months. Luckily its only Summer I need to worry about, rest of the year they absolutely love it. Reason for that is those hot days are also hot nights, and when the nighttime low is still 90 degrees or 85 degrees they can't absorb water very well and start growing weird or the tip often terminates and then re-pups in the fall, all sorts of problem from excessive heat but they should survive.

Hey bro some tips fo watering water from the top down sort of like a shower... not from the side. At 5:31 you watered the fence. And also water more around the surface of the plant. There are lots of rocks that are staying dry not sure if that's intentional or not. Anyways just some tips lovely cacti you have.

To be honest I don't use anything Special. I use "Cactus Juice" from Grow More as my main Fertilizer. I use that twice a month and fully drench plants with the appropriate Dilution. Then I use Dr. EARTHS Tomato Fertilizer every 3rd week. That seems to keep them nice and fed. Plus I add worm Castings to my soil when first planting. I mix in the worm castings rather than top dress

Do you have any easy suggestions? I see my peers spending days making these" brews" to feed their Cactus. I don't have the time, nor do I want to know, nor do I think the growth benefit is worth the effort. That's why I'm a minimalist. 50% perlite, 30% soil 20% worm casting. Then I feed with Cactus Juice 1 tsp per gallon, fully drench 2x a month. Supplement with other random stuff like Tomato Ferts. In Cali to be honest, they're lacking feed. I'll be down there in a Month to feed them to help survive the Winter with less damage

started my collecting june 2 1975. still have he invoice so i know what i got. macrogonus, pachanoi,, spachianus, terschekii, and ario fissuratus, a kotschoubeyanus. was $19 and $3 shipping. nothing was known about these for decades. just some black and white photos and trout's notes. i still have the pachs going, and have bought from 5 different sources over the years. every one of them turned out to be the same clone. i had 21 flowers last year, crossed all and none produced fruits, that's how i know. amazing to see how specialized collections have become, and recognized in their own right. i think they are still shrouded in mystery, and respected for their close association with humans for 1000's of years. i do believe they are mostly grown these days as a tribute to those ancient people who got us to where we are today in large part due to their shamanic beliefs. when you consider the 2400 or so religions that exist today, with all their trite beliefs, shamanism stands above all of them for the truth and understanding of how this marvelous universe works. the miracles that were known and accepted then have been side tracked by modern religions, much to the detriment of modern human mental health. we don't know who we are and what our purpose is these days, when clearly the ancients understood the meaning of life is to interact and serve this universe that created all and provides everything, no questions asked. modern religion has disrupted this connection, for power and money, but you can get it back once you open your eyes to what the universe is saying to you every day. and it says quite a lot. watch the synchronicity, a miraculous phenom that occurs daily for all of us, but you only become aware of the most extreme instances, and then dismiss them as merely coincidences. the universe runs on synchronicity, everything is perfect, death is meaningless, since none of us will die. the universe has your back, no matter what your personal perceptions of how things are going in your own life. that is the good news.

if you like this Video, you'll LOVE my Palm Springs collection. That's where I moved 100 of my most 'hyped' clones and had them put in ground during last fall. That video includes my biggest plant, an over 8 foot Serra Blue Clone with a 4+ foot pup. That is in Part 2 but I recommend watching all 3 because they're all packed with our favorite clones. It's amazing how huge most have become in only 6 months they've been there. By Next year I'll have plenty to start doing random giveaways monthly from what California provides me alone. In the meantime, I still have some really cool are stuff to giveaway as WE are approaching 200 subs here shortly. I'll be posting more about a Giveaway once we get to 250 subs. That's a quarter way to a thousand, gotta start somewhere! Planning to give away a Box full of goodies including serious, numerous Clones, and of Course My own Icaro DNA "Blue Balls" which is a stunning seed grown Icaro.

How often do you harvest and consume them for medicine?
@TheChurchofCacti
@TheChurchofCacti Жыл бұрын
Jiimz Bridgesii cuttings are the best bet for Medicine because they're on demand and relatively potent. Not the 2 spine, not the strong spine, just succulentsource.com basic Bridgesii cuttings. He often offers fat Bridg cuttings in 3 packs for such a cheap price and they always hit. Don't mention use of the plants whenever purchasing, even if in a legal state like me, these vendors only sell "Ornamental Cactus" to stay under federal laws. The Bridgesii Cuttings are a great deal, especially fat ones, and they always get the job done.

All vert sought after beautiful blue Peruvianus. I kind of want this property to be a Clone sanctuary with mostly all original clones.
