You should never use a magnet to test a meteorite. Touching a meteorite with a magnet results in near-instantaneous destruction of its magnetic record

I test to magnet and it works..then i put a small amount of vinegar..and the crystal is appear and spark..the stone is old and black..having a brown dust..

Sir im from Philippines..my friend discover a stone near at the mountain..he ask me for help..what kind of stone he found..the stone is having a small crystal....i dont think so if it is diamond..but its heavy and sparkling..

I have a few fragments about 2 inch or more of something that passes everything. Even the white lines and glass or crystal spot. Keeping in mind its fragments of something larger. It seems the color of the rock is dark black . Is it possible that it's just a really thick black crust that broke off?
