The raw energy level on this version is off the chart. Cleaned up and digitalized it would easily be the best version by any artist.

i'm sorry but it's Jan & Dean's Little Old Lady From Pasadena. Beach Boys just cover it. They've unfairly been given almost as much credit as the Originators of the song.

I totally agree and have adjusted the description accordingly. You may also wonder why a surf video with a hot rod song. Well that's because "little" reminds me of Kathy Kohner (Gidget). Thanks for the feedback!

Seriously, this should be shared across the internet. The song has meaning, and those old folks... Hey! I'm 72, and those delightful people are proving that I can enjoy my 'senior years' just as much... still know how to live well into their 'second childhood'. Thanks for sharing.

Hey... I was wondering if I can use couple seconds from your video... I have a 1959 Cessna 172... and I am restoring it and flying it... and will be amazing if I can show some of his glory days... thanks

Sure Capitan! Use as you wish. Our plane in the video was a 1957 C-182. We eventually gave it a 1959 style repaint and then te traded it in on a new 1959 C-210. (I'm the little pee-winker in the video helping to push it out of the hangar.)

"The sun is sinking low in the sky above Ashokan. The pines and the willows know soon we will part. There's a whisper in the wind of promises unspoken, And a love that will always remain in my heart. My thoughts will return to the sound of your laughter, The magic of moving as one, And a time we'll remember long ever after The moonlight and music and dancing are done. Will we climb the hills once more? Will we walk the woods together? Will I feel you holding me close once again? Will every song we've sung stay with us forever? Will you dance in my dreams in my arms until then? Under the moon the mountains lie sleeping Over the lake the stars shine. They wonder if you and I will be keeping The magic and music, or leave them behind. (Sing along Stanza 1)

No one has reported any video recording, film or otherwise of J Frank from anywhere. I have been out of touch with my TV station contact for the Larry Kane show for decades but I am pretty sure they weren't recording all local productions back then. My contact was a sound engineer for this presentation. The audio was all he had.
