Jason Timpf next up for an NBA coaching staff position....just watch. So enjoy him now. He won't be around on youtube for much longer. What if JJ calls for a staff position with the Lakers? With his hire, nothing shocks me in the NBA anymore. (except the Jalen Brown Finals MVP) :)

Who do you think are the biggest name players that may be on the move besides Paul George? OG? Kuzma? The Chicago roster? Cavs? Nets? And do you think the Thunder have made their off-season move(s) for the summer with the addition of Caruso?

With the current roster lakers have very less chance of winning the title nextyear no matter who the coaches they hire they have to rebuilt the roaster accepting the fact that this current team is not title contender

Jason has the absolute best takes. I could see him coaching an NBA team, easily

Like anyone who’s ever coached for the Lakers, this will either be a huge success or a huge failure. I’d throw my life savings on this failing but it’ll be a fun train wreck to watch.

The big problem here is if the other players would respect Redick considering he's a Lebron "friend". If he won't take Lebron accountable then he might be in trouble. We will see, if the roster is the same they probably look very good on offense but very lacking on defense.

MAILBAG: Hej Jason, if the Nuggets 2023 version will play a final with Celtics 2024 version, how will this series looks like? Greetings from Denmark, amazing show.

What kind of offensive concepts do you think we'll run with an agnig LBJ?

If you use the competitiveness and talent argument, then you should realize that the Mavs will return to the finals. Luka's talent and competitiveness will find a way to get back.

Idk the last time i saw a player and a coach be legitimate friends

Even if Mavs won the title he'd say they aren't close. They were in the finals, so yeah they were close.

I'm a Laker fan.....but Jason is acting like this "success" is going to happen in a vacuum or something...CAN we be better??? Yes....but the talent level??? Denver Minny Dallas Memphis OKC Sacramento ALL these teams have 1-2 punches that are younger than us AND hungrier...and then there's the up an comers : Houston San Antonio ...and THEN the coaches!

Here is the thing about the finals, the Mavericks didn't get normal Kyrie. He was missing open shots he normally makes and Luka was really really hurt... getting behind in a game isnt an indicator of wether one team should win it pr not either. Dallas is on the cusp..lets see what they do but they made it to the finals and played like a young team that was new to the experience. It happens

The best series of the play-offs was Denver-Minnesota what a boring finals series

If JJ gets the team off to a strong start, like 10-4 or better, he’s good money for the rest of the season. OBTW, STOP LOSING SEASON OPENERS!!!

MAILBAG: Hi Jason, as a depressed Pistons fan this season really tested my love of the game seeing the weird lineups we ran out & the overall mess of a roster that was created. However, there's hope as Trajan has officially cleaned house, the Fred Vinson hiring is massive for Ausar/Ivey's shooting woes & there's recent evidence of teams quickly rebounding from the bottom with shrewd decision-making. If Detroit was to make a Houston-esque jump next season, what sort of FA's would you target to help the core develop & would you move one of the core 4 if we could get a high level impact player that could accelerate the growth of Cade??
@PaulWWhitfieldJr3 сағат бұрын
He has to get Rondo on his staff…those two galaxy brains working together will make the Lakers exponentially better. Despite injuries, last season’s team had the potential to be top 4 in conference but Ham let a lot of games get away because he didn’t actively coach during the game, a’la Mike Malone and Steve Kerr. JJ is letting nothing slide.

JJ is a Duke guy who was very good…he’ll have no problem with being hated.

They should hire this personnel, Kendrick Perkins, Shanon Sharpe, Gilbert Arenas, Stephen A. Smith 🤣 then after 1 season and the lakers failed again, you are all fired 🤣

There's zero risk...LeBron is about to get old, AD incapable of leading a team...so there's no chance of doing anything in the next 2-5 years. They will make play off in some of them and won't other years...depends on injuries...no coach will make any difference

I know people are gonna trash Jason for this take, and he is a total homer but still what he saying is fun to think about.
@Jayholmes5183 сағат бұрын
Lakers will be okay, as long as JJ doesnt wait till opponent goes on 14 0 run to call a timeout. And doesnt play 3 guards while getting destroyed on the glass with no adjustment. Jason is right..Ham didn't take every game seriously which lead to a low playoff spot

Denver loss to the team Dallas beat, leave it at that. Dallas did beat Denver in the regular season so you don’t know what would’ve happened because it didn’t. As a result, Dallas was the best team in the West, period!

Mailbag Question: With the new reports on Brook López what do you think about a trade centered around him and Rui? Brook Is a good shooting big that can space for LeBron and AD and Rui can play the 4 next to Giannis at the 5 and have the more versatile defense Doc Rivers wants.

It is ridiculous to suggest the Mavericks are not that close to winning a title when they were only three games away from the chip. I would like to have seen this series with a healthy Luca however we got what we got. The Mavericks do need to tweak a few things, but with a healthy Luca, it is always always a possibility.

If you’re talking matchups and than say a teams not close why did Denver lose to Minnesota.
