Liverpool took four points from United in this season in the league, but United won the league and beat them in the Cup final. Liverpool hade some quality players, Barnes, Thomas, McManaman, Fowler, Collymore, Redknapp but fell short when it came to the winning mentality to win trophies. Collymore was my favourite player at the time, at his best he was a beast, he started well but didn’t end up achieving his potential, when he moved to Villa his career went pretty much into freefall.
