What a stupid commercial. This is NOT what getting high looks like. Clearly MADD should stick with alcohol.

This test is not necessary, it’s time consuming for police and not a reliable indicator of impairment through alcohol consumption. The UK has the breathalyser which accurately measures the amount of alcohol taken against the level of alcohol allowed to drive a motor vehicle. It’s quick and efficient. If they refuse to take it then in the UK this would amount to being arrested and taken for blood testing. If they take the test and are over the limit they are arrested and taken for a further breath test and the lowest reading is accepted and used against them. If they refuse the blood test then this is would be enough to arrest for drunk driving over the prescribed limit. Field sobriety tests take way too much time to complete and therefore stops policemen from other duties whilst completing them.

@BarryHayes-l7wАй бұрын
I failed the field sobriety test but passed the alcohol breath test, was still taken to jail. I had blood tests taken in the county jail and was charged with DUI/Drugs and solvents. When the blood results came back clear, the city had to deny the charge against me. What is the point of the field sobriety test, it’s bs !!!!

This is bull. It’s not some server living on tips fault. The same way it’s not the fault of the store who sold someone a firearm. And then the person uses the firearm in commission of an offence. None of this makes any sense it’s personal responsibility. I’m sorry she lost a family Member. But directing it towards the server is wrong. This feels really silly. Wish her some peace though cheers.

So you're trying to tell me, a pothead didn't take a half hour to meticulously design exactly what they wanted to eat, and figure out the exact cost plus tax, before even getting off the couch, and that he got distracted at the finish line of exactly what he's been hyper focused on for the past hour now? Yall are 100% out of touch, ive toked with bush pilots and got on the cessna with them, when guys are high and doing what they love they're hyper fixated on it and you've never seen a more attentive individual Jon Jones Michael Phelps Shaun white the list goes on As a guy who got hit by a drunk driver in an f150 on my bicycle at 17 and it messed my whole life up with a permanent invisible injury, I see what you're trying to do, you just came at it the wrong way, it's silly and unrealistic, it makes people laugh for the wrong reasons and then you get all those goofy comments about, "who and why we keeps funding you, we got the message in the 80s," type of comments
@Barbarus1Ай бұрын
These tests are not accurate. They are only designed to have you "fail" Police get it wrong 60% of the time. And even if you have injuries or conditions that will display false positives they will still ask you to do it anyway so they can fail you for displaying "clues". Never do these tests. There are only three "studies" that lend them any veracity. They are over 200 debunking them. You don't even have to be drunk or high to get arrested for DUI. Over the last 40 years the standard has gotten lower and lower because it has become big money for everyone involved except for the arrestee. Now we are seeing people getting charged with DUI for .00 BAC and nothing in their system. But they are still having their lives turned upside down. Many of the so called "drunk" drivers that get arrested aren't drunk at all. Its just that the courts and the politicians have bent the knee to appease MADD and the police who profit from drunk driving hysteria. A DUI used to be a BAC above .10 or higher. Then the laws got changed to withhold federal highway dollars from states that didn't raise the drinking age to 21 and lower BAC to .08 (Which for many people isn't impaired depending on their body composition). About 20 years ago states started charging people with nonsense misdemeanors for DWAI and "less safe dui" with a BAC as low as .05 (1-2 beers for the average person). And now in many jurisdictions we are seeing "Drug whisperers" and cops like these just arresting innocent people to get a stat. Because regardless of if there is a conviction or not cops get awards and recognition for arrests.

No alcohol. No drugs. No victims. No accuracy. No validity. No care about people being falsely arrested based on junk science and police perjury. No care about where the money comes from.
@DirtyDog972 ай бұрын
MADD makes money off of arrests, so they come up with this junk science by which they can arrest people who register low or zero for alcohol. MADD doesn't care about accuracy. They want arrests and money. The cop doesn't know or care how the subject normally looks or what the subject's normal vitals measurements are, and these vary from time to time for the same person. Similarly, the cop doesn't know how the subject normally performs on the tests. Different people have widely different levels of athletic ability, and that level may vary naturally from time to time for the same person, without drugs or alcohol. The cops don't care about any of this. It's junk science masquerading as real science. If you don't look, speak, walk, or move the way the cop thinks you should, you're going to jail. The cop will make stuff up (i.e. lie) if need be. All of MADD's revenue derives directly or indirectly from people being arrested for DUI (drugs or alcohol). MADD collects a hefty "participation fee" from pretty much every person arrested for DUI since those convicted and even those not convicted are typically court ordered to attend a victim impact panel. MADD gives awards at lavish banquets to those cops who made the most arrests (i.e. generated the most revenue for MADD), with special awards for cops who make a high number of arrests several years in a row. MADD also gives awards to judges it considers "MADD friendly," depriving defendants of an unbiased judge. MADD also gets government grants to "fight the DUI problem." Inflated arrest numbers make the DUI problem look larger than it is. DUI enforcement is a crooked, greedy game fraught with junk science and police perjury. A lot of people who aren't intoxicated are getting arrested so MADD can seem more relevant than they actually are.

See how impossible these tests are? The so called experts can't do them or demonstrate them properly. But then again they often demonstrate them incorrectly or give confusing directions so that the victim will "fail" the test and they can get a sweet sweet arrest state and some of those federal highway dollars.
