Thank you for posting this. I had the pleasure of working with Xed at Into You. A pioneer and innovator. A very generous man with his knowledge, his time and a man with a big heart. RIP Xed I know you will exist forever in another dimension. ❤

I got tears on my eyes writing this comment while thinking how this people that are not even berbers feel like they have to protect my culture, i'm so sad that after the Muslims invaded north Africa my ancestors had to convert in order to save their own lives, and threw all that beautiful art out the window. I love you so much Loretta Leu, to me you're a GOD ❤️

How cool is that Shige gets a Japanese style body suit from Filip learns so much and ends up becoming one of the best Japanese tattooist around.

Nice intervieuw Paul, interesting interviewee too !! I met Filip in Amsterdam at the very beginning of my tattoo carreer some 33 odd years ago, and had a small conversation about my uncle , (Tattoo Bertje, who was located in Ostend and has retired a few years ago and has passed his studio on to his daughter Miranda now), who knew the late Felix Leu very well. Never got to the point that Filip worked at one of the ten tattoo conventions I used to organise in Brugge in the late nineties... a real shame to my opininion. Paul on the other hand was a fixed value (am I saying this right ?) at the Artline Tattoo Expo's, as were many other tattooists with name and fame fom the UK. Kevin Shercliff and Darren Stares missed none of these expo's. All these oldtime tattoo artists are real good people ;-p (well at least the majority of them :p) Therefore I wish there was a rotarymachine-free gathering with all these oldtimers, that laid the bricks for all those new kids on the block. Sincerily, John Artliner - Artline Tattoos BELGIUM

It's called cultural appropriation. They are making money on our asses. They are tattooing other occidentals with OUR traditional tattoos. Like what happened for the Maori tattoos.

The interviewer is horrible. Interrupts and doesn’t let them finish. Men! Western men!

Awesome! :) My first tattoo was done in 1975 in Brighton, by Bob Bonwick (rip).. I also spent a fair amount of time and money with Ian Frost in Croydon, as well as Winnie Ayres in Aldershot.. Well, at the tender age of 52 I picked up the tools and started tattooing... found my love in life, and have never looked back! Thanks for your respect, and devotion to one of the most noblest of crafts Paul.. Wholeheartedly appreciated mate!! <3
