So I'm halfway through watching and just a thought, unfortunately probably a wasted thought since I missed it live (and apologies for missing live), about the question of Uranium asteroid mining, it's only 42km away, anything stopping you from making a cheap deposable remote drone to fly up and take a look? On the jump drive discussion, it is a guideline (not rule), no jump drives, part of the storyline they are Alien tech and the reason to go to Mars. But from a gameplay perspective, logistical planning for the transfer of goods to Mars at slower than light speed is an interesting game dynamic, and quite cool to send stuff off and hope it turns up there a few hours later. The other thing with jump drives and/or hydro/ion thrusted ships for that matter, getting to Mars is one thing, communicating with the ship when it gets there is another. Laser antennas are notoriously difficult to contact when conditions are ideal, and this scenario, the conditions are not ideal. Finally, I think there are duplicate copies of all the communication logs sent from Mars back to Earth in the Alpine Communications Hub. Also the restricted section in the library wont spoil anything for you, it is just a repository of duplicates of the data pads in case you loose one.

If you have the AI move put in sideways it has a definite left and right when you put it down so if you had it sideways it's automatically going to rotate to whatever way it's right side up left and right

You were talking about power saving mode for the antenna relays, and using action relays to trigger it. That is possible. Use Splitsie's trick of turning on the antenna for only, say 5 seconds every minute with a pair of timer blocks. Then have an action relay that would turn off the timer blocks. Have a timer block and action relay at your base; the timer block (on a 1 second repeat) uses the action relay to trigger the remote action relay. You just need to start your local timer block, and it will turn off the power save mode within 1 minute.

Keep in mind that decoys do have a max range to be efficient. If im not mistaken it was around 15 blocks. So if they are farther placed, the targeting system might not target them instead.

I love these engineering challenges, and me and my son made our own faction right away when we got this game because we loved fixing things up to be better than 'just props'. With those parts shelves at the house, I would have gone through everything on the truck before leaving, piped everything, added more power and bumpers (1x1 tires and blast doors) and all that, maybe some storage or a trailer for the trip before leaving.
