I’ve got a 93 aztro and I swear there is literally nothing to remove the seats
@chickenthighfishingКүн бұрын
Sorry. But I’ve never even heard of an Astro ! I would check two things; see if there is a cushion portion that pulls off revealing bolts or screws or see if the seat actually has a covering, and that covering would probably need to be removed in order to expose the bolts or screws. There has to be a way.

@@chickenthighfishing so I guess it’s the same as a procraft they have a hinge on the front of them so there has to be something holding the backs down and I just literally cannot find it
@hansoosterbaan82953 күн бұрын
Dude, you have done it again. You have exactly precisely taught me how to do two things that I could not find out how to do any place else. Yes, like you I would have figured it out on my own but you save me a lot of time. The first one was the gear shift video and this one here really nails down a great way to install those deck lights. Thanks so much for your time and by the way you are a great instructor. I do have a couple questions if you don't mind one is what gauge wire did you use to run all the way around the boat and two is have you done with those blue lights I am planning on getting red lights cuz I am of the belief that they attract bugs a lot less than blue lights. Thank you.
@chickenthighfishing3 күн бұрын
I'm actually not sure what gauge the wire was. I ordered the 25 foot lengths of connecting wire from Blue Water LED, Since that is the wire that comes with the kit in the first place. Forgive me, but I never actually looked at the gauge. I did a fairly sloppy job the first time through and was not satisfied with it (although not bad for a non-electrical type of dude) so I re-did them, learning from the mistakes I made the first time around and so far, so good. That being said, I'm sure there are better and/or more efficient and/or "correct" ways to install these...but for a Ham 'n Egger like me who likes to tinker with stuff, they work...so, there's that.

Where can I find help, directions, video. I have a Minn Kota Edge 55#, I had to replace head cove, bottom cover cove cracked. I have everything put back together, but cannot get the foot control cables tension correct. I know how to use tension screw on foot control. So I still have top cover off of head so I can see if cables will work, but the either come loose on head pulley, or they’ll come loose on foot control pulleys. Any help would be appreciated.
@chickenthighfishing5 күн бұрын
I would make sure they are positioned correctly on the pulley drum. You may have them wrapped around the drum incorrectly causing that issue.

Hi I watched your video on 2 year owner ship, I bought a 2024 pro team 175 tf and I wanted to put a keel guard on it I was tall by the stores service center that I couldn't because of the powder coating, so I took it a step further and I called a company that makes keel guards and they said that model has a thicker keel on it so the wouldn't work. Do you have any ideas for this ? 😢

@christophermcvey378510 күн бұрын
late to the party but the Talon looks badass. Only thing that I would have not done was changed the 12v outlet on the panel. you could have bought a dual USB insert for it instead. Just cut that things functionality in half. I have a power inverter and a spot light that plug into the standard 12v outlet as well as a dual USB insert so I can power all sorts of stuff.

Hey, great video. So I actually had the ‘hood’ front cover piece break on my Revo x. I am ordering a new one. Is there an easy way to take that off than taking the whole reel apart? I took the two screws out and it won’t come off. It is snapped in half so only half is stuck on it. Any advice? Thanks
@chickenthighfishing24 күн бұрын
Well..you don't have to break down the reel "entirely" in order to remove the hood. But you do have to remove the side plates to access the screws. The palm side plate, of course, is super easy. But the handle side plate would require you to remove the handle and external star drag assemblies. I can't think of another way. Not sure how the broken piece is stuck with the screws being removed (unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying). That must be a DIRTY reel ! Anyway, I guess I would just pry it off with a tool of some sort. Since you indicated it is broken already...I would just rip it off I guess. I've never seen a hood that wouldn't come off with the screws removed.

I typically use a Browning Night Seeker Pro cap light. I like it because it has a nice big push button as opposed to a sliding button like some other cap lights. Much easier when you have sausage fingers.

@chickenthighfishing29 күн бұрын
I’ve never seen that. All the reels I’ve ever done have the worm drive as removable. Is it possible it’s so dirty that it’s stuck?
@ScreamPotato29 күн бұрын
@@chickenthighfishingCould be corroded in place. That thing won't budge though, tried hammering on it and prying it but it doesn't even start to move. The gear is nice and loose just being held by the pin but there's no room to press it down to get the pin out. Looks like it's got bearings on both ends but it's dirty and hard to tell. I've got a buddy that's gonna take a look at it, will update if I find anything interesting.

@chickenthighfishingАй бұрын
Check the video around the 11:25 mark and look at the pinion gear and pinion gear shaft when I break down the reel and then look at the re-install of those parts later in the video. If your spool won't spin...my guess is you may have inadvertently missed something there. If that doesn't solve it...let me know.

That was an excellent video. I saw another video where the guy put brake disc grease on the discs. Is this something that's necessary and what's the purpose? I noticed you left the discs dry so that's why I'm asking. Is it a preference thing?
@chickenthighfishingАй бұрын
I'm glad you liked the video. You can certainly use drag washer grease on your drag stack. It is not necessary but is not a bad thing at all to do if you so choose. It promotes flexibility and arguably extends the life of the carbon fiber-type washers. Welcome to CTF ! Hope you enjoy our fishing content !

Ouch! I seldom fish at night but this incident has me thinking. When I rode my Harley at night I used to wear clear glasses that also protected the sides of my eyes. Just a thought, specially with multiple people in the boat. We wear sunglasses in the day that also helps protect the eyes but really don’t think too much about it at night. I know it was a painful experience but so thankful it wasn’t in the eye.

I'm not sure if this had happened during daylight if it would've been any different. But, regardless, accidents simply happen. I am very thankful as well that it wasn't my eye.
