A HR tracker and GPS tracker, any claims beyond that are more or less dogshit - my experience with Garmin epix pro gen 2. It pisses me off it doesn’t even track naps. 😢 Do I need some stupid algorithm to tell me whether I should train… NO And the stats of running, vertical oscillation, ground contact time, power aren’t even accurate… Overpriced for sure, the battery life is good thank Garmin for that.

I would say 200$-300$ is acceptable, but I payed 1300 CAD for it and it was not a worthy purchase. The map is loaded with stupid icons I cant even see the roads, and there is no way to turn them off… I wonder if the developers even use the product themselves 😢

Tbh, even the 2nd vid is an exaggeration of what should happen. Hip drive should really be called quad drive, since it's the knee extensors that are responsible for upward motion initially, assuming a constant back angle is kept (to effectively use the quads) and not hip extensors.

Wow! This is a VERY informative video. Thank you. I thought to buy a fitness tracker or smartwatch to see how much calories I burn during weight training. But I also wondered how the calculation worked? Your heart rate during lifting is lower than intensive cardio and you standing at the same place most of the time. Answers from people with such a watch were: "It's based on your heart rate, weight, etc..." But that didn't sound very convincing. After this video I have much doubts to even buy a fitness tracker when it's mainly for lifting weights. So does this mean that a tracker / smartwatch can't even give an idea about how many calories I burn with lifting weights?

I have a fossil gen 6 RN but ima get the garmin and think it might be worth it to me because i struggle keeping a real workout plan as far as what work outs im actually doing most services make you pay garmin dose not, i hear you out about the calories but again me personally i do a very very low carb diet anyway, plus i use my wyze scale x in addition for even more stats to keep in mind while in my journey. Im 6'3 went from 192lbs 19% body fat to 182lbs 15% body fat in just 4 months of kinda less serious home training, bought a nicer curved ez bar with x2 25s and 30lb dumbells that my fossil watch and my wyze scale x together is what got me there in just 4 months so i actually couldn't be happier with them

But dont cut more than 10% of your body weight with water cutting. I would recommend you to diet down to 71 kg and then do the water cut protocol. Sunday 4L Monday 6L Tuesday 8L Wednesday 8L. (No salt. Only protein and veggies) Thursday; fasting (eat some eggwhites no salt id needed - also depending on your weight at this time) Friday: don't eat or drink until weight in. And go to sauna if needed. But be careful and bring someone with you. Please note this is only if you have 24 hours between weight in and fight. If not, then diet down gik 68 and cut 1 kg in sauna. Trust me. Good luck

I bought one just over a month ago. I did quite a lot of research before buying. It was clear that they do some things well and other things are ok to poor. I found some good videos that compared watches against better tracking devices (for heart rate / sleep etc) and noted that most are not great at sleep but heart rate is good on some. I expected to pay £800 on a Garmin but ended up paying £250 on a Huawei gt3 pro that scored better than most of the other trackers and covers heart rate well in different situations. I have found that I am more motivated to push harder now - I had fallen into the same routines at the gym and out walking and the feedback I am getting from the device is helping me. Yesterday I maxed out on my back day at the gym - pushed harder than in in the past and the "body battery" type indicator for the first time ever has told me to take it easy for 40 hours. Normally that has been saying I would be fine after 24 hours. It made me think that I should drop my chest day today for a long walk instead and hit chest hard tomorrow - break my routine and have a better chest day. I also walk a lot and the detailed feedback on things like altitude / pace really help with looking to improve my fitness. Do I think it is perfect - hell no. Does it have more value to me than BCAAs and all the other crap advertised by huge corporations and pushed by "fitness gurus" - Hell YES. :)

if you understand the technology behind those trackers you will understand that it does track those shit but never as accurate as the real thing. such as accelerators sensors and such. but ofcourse ordinary people doesn't know such technical soo they don't care. this is why I love the idea of the latest casio gbd-200 it has 2yr battery life. pack with the most basic feature. it feels like a watch gshock from 90's but a modernize for this generation. I don't use the workout timer of it instead I use it as timer for cooking instead hahaha

oh relatable video, i've never been skinny, not fat either, started lifting in 2017 just doing what my friends were doing. and i got stronger at first compared to not having lifted before. but my lifts never got higher than then really. I'd always fall off, come back after a month or two build back to where i was, fall off again. covid and school lack of gym buddies, lots of excuses but definitely not getting where i wanted. always been a fan of strongman, and knew i wanted to build strength to do it but i was a broke college kid and couldn't afford training so was just again doing what my friends did. also always thought i was too weak to start at a strongman gym. but this year! finally started at a strongman gym, finally making strength gains, finally feeling hungry its really changed a lot for me.

If you need to squeeze out some more weight, sauna and hot tub will do the trick along side doing this water manipulation.
