Use a genuine Nissan oil filter with the copper crush ring. The Nissan filter has a baffle to prevent contaminants from escaping once they get caught in the filter.

If your dealing with hot oil temps the 5w40 is pretty good median sometimes the thicker viscosity can cause to much oil pressure on the oil pump gear / possibly the gallery gaskets id assume I ran 5w40 with 32 row oil cooler at the track it helped but getting it up to temp was taking too long and I had 20min sessions So now I went down to 0w40 and it’s helped so far I also have good vents now so that’s what I was battling

Yesss this was my first time doing it, and noticed I used a higher viscosity by mistake- thankfully went 5000kms with no issues before I went back to 5w30 in my latest vid!
