It's amazing that this side can't beat teams that are higher up the league, and are now 3 points above the relegation zone.

Workington beat a side that sits just two places above them. However, the Reds are 4 points above the relegation zone. They need to put some wins on the board, otherwise they are going to dragged down into the bottom four.

I mean well done brain of Britain. You are sooooo intelligent with comments like that. FFS.

@@markfinlay422 What I've said before is that Mark fell is in the same position as Danny Grainger, by keeping the club in this league. They are no more than an average side in the Northern Premier League. It just adds on another year, since they lost their professional league status in 1977, when they are not moving up the leagues. Other clubs can make it back to League Two, so why can't the Reds? By the way I'm not the brain of Britain, as I'm a Brit who lives overseas, who lived in Workington when they played in the old Division 4, then after they were relegated.

Our season won't be defined by results against the top teams, I think 2nd half we came out and played well, just not creating any clean cut chances. The next 3 games are now crucial and missing Riggy for 2 of them is a big worry. Never like to hear comments from a manger that he makes on the 6 minutes mark in the interview about a side feeling sorry for themselves, but it's too late in the season for a change of manager. Hopefully he can bring some players in and keep us in the League.
@davidjackson6339Ай бұрын
Last season the club board told Danny Grainger to just keep the side in the league. This season Mark Fell has to resign himself that they are never a top 10 side, and mid to lower position will all they will achieve.

We are basically two or three games from being demoted, and we've conceded more goals than the five teams below us, and they all have a game or two in hand. I love these interviews, but let's get a more realistic perspective. Do not rely on the results below us, let's start making your tactics and training work. No excuses!

Great how you show all the chances in the game. Watching the Macclesfield version you wouldn't think we made any in that 1st half.

Honest fair assessment. Best game Wilkinson has had for us today I think. Norris has been a great addition. If only we had a team full of Norris and Steven Rigg's. Might be time to cut 1 or 2 loose who aren't doing the business.

The teams changed ends at half time and the cameraman changed sides . However, unlike the players , he prefered the initial vibes and went back to his original spot. Will it catch on ? Good coverage , apparently a well run club. Fine Wetherspoons pub .Pity that hotels , BnBs seem so pricey in Workington .
Bloody brilliant Mark. I'll book the hotel at Wembley tomorrow.

The Reds have lost to the 2 bottom teams and now the one just below them. They are slipping down the league towards the relegation zone, so it looks like another poor season in the NPL. I listened to the post match comments from Mark Fell after the Matlock defeat, and now against Bamber Bridge, he seems lost at what he can possibly do to turn things around.
@davidjackson63394 ай бұрын
I know this is a new squad of players, which is going to take time to knit together. However, losing to the bottom club with only 10 men, shows they have a long way to go in being in a better than mid-table position.

So much if this is familiar. And that's not a criticism of Mark. We heard Danny say it abiut a different group of players last season (usually when Tinners wasn't playing). We've had several bright starts and then switched off. The players have it in their hands to fix that.
