Congrats on the Mirabilia finish, she looks amazing! I really love the fabric you chose for your bathroom lavender piece. It does seem weird to stitch for a bathroom but hey, walls are walls, right?

Thanks for speaking up about stolen artwork in the cross stitch world. I agree it can be hard to work through the feelings about continuing with a project after you learn that kind of stuff. I agree with keeping projects that weren't legally licensed off socials. FYI I don't know if you know this but Weeks Dye Works has a bit of a yucky history of a situation they did not handle well. A few years ago a Black stitcher asked them why they had a color called Confederate Gray and that as a Black stitcher it did not make her feel good to have the confederacy envoked with stitching supplies. Well they didn't respond to her so other members of the community starting asking and calling for a change to be made. After weeks of pressure they did change the name to Gray without any statement of any kind or response to any stitchers. But they continued to use the floss tags they had for a long time and didn't make it known to designers to change the name when they call for it and it was still Confederate Gray on order forms for shops even just last week at my lns they have a little note where Confederate Gray should be and it states that Confederate Gray is now Gray which leads me to believe people are still actively looking for the old name. A bunch of stitchers have decided not to buy any more from them due to this lack of accountability on the company's part. Just thought I would share I like to make sure people have the information in case it might make a difference for them about where they spend their cross stitch money! I look forward to seeing all your fun new starts!

Hey you!! So nice to see ya. Sorry about your house trouble but hoping you're getting to the other side of it soon. Your WIPs are looking good. Yup, Theresa Wentzler has mostly handwritten charts. That was why I wouldn't stitch it. I'm glad you're doing it, making it your own. Snow Queen though. Ugh. I seem to remember you having that mistake. I really really hope you don't have to UFO her. She's gorgeous. EPP looks good but I'd never have the patience. Was fun to watch this in a Thurs night. 😊 Good to see you. Forgot to say GO FOR IT with the 30 starts!! I think that would be amazing.

Wow. I've purchased the Dear Jane for hand piecing but it is a bit overwhelming. I have since got the Xstitch version from Carolyne Manning. I think I'll be able to finish the cross stitch version much faster and leave the quilt for retirement.

Hi, I just found your flosstube channel :) Good luck with your next degree. I'm currently halfway through a grad program, also in Florida, and sewing/quilting/embroidery/cross stitch definitely help me with stress/anxiety. For the secret garden piece - have you considered maybe putting a little piece of fusible interfacing or something like that on the back of the linen, where the hole is? I made a dress out of linen once, and accidentally cut a small hole in it when I was ripping out a seam, and that's what I used to repair the fabric.

WIP parades are indeed welcome any time of the year :) I love seeing before and after pictures because sometimes, especially on HAEDs, it's difficult to appreciate the progress otherwise, but that requires editing, and editing is just not for everyone. I think that upload frequency should be based on how much you stitch and on when you feel like sharing your progress - some people don't update for months and I'm excited to see when they do, and some do daily Flossmas updates and that could be fun to watch too.

Hi so glad KZbin suggested your Flosstube. Your projects are amazing! The colorful cat is stunning! Since you know how to sew maybe you could make a pillow or bag with the WIP. Or even frame it as it is. It is lovely. Congratulations on getting your associates! Big accomplishment🌞 I am in Miami Florida. What is the name of the LNS in Ft. Lauderdale? Sounds Very nice! Good to see another video from you Jasmine. Beautiful WIPs (especially that ginormous and ambitions wedding picture project) and future stitching plans. Congratulations on your soon to receive associates degree. You have NOTHING to be ashamed of in that it took you 5/6 years to get to your associates degree. It took me almost 9 years to finish my bachelor's degree, and I was working on my masters for three years before I chose not to pursue it. Education is not a "race," but a journey for many of us. If it gives you comfort, in many respects (by society's measuring stick); over the years - I have accomplished a great deal more than those friends and acquaintances. Enjoy YOUR journey! Stay and safe well. Your namesake in Chicago. :)

I stich from a combination of full set on bobbins, and then floss drops. I have two HAEDs. One I bought the material pack for. The second only has 16 colors, but several skeins of each. So they each have their own floss. I have a kit, so it has its own floss. I'm also stitching a series. each piece in the series uses the same colors. I use floss drops on those because I could label them with the called for and then my color conversion, so I don't have to keep referring to my notes for the color. Other than those projects, all the rest I use my Master set.

I'm actually doing the opposite for my full set plan. I'm working on my full set now and plan to stitch medium and small projects from the full set and replace as I need. For a huge project I would kit it up to have its own floss but I definitely lean more towards smaller non full coverage projects.

Love your videos. The only caveat I have about buying a full set and working from it, is that you will have floss you may never use and short on the colors you need. You might do better buying what you need, even a color at a time to match dye lots, and buying cones of colors you frequently use. 💜

Happy to see another video of you! The money thing you mention while kitting up is correct. As a mom of three, currently staying at home I still wanna have a hobby. I really need to show restrain when I see all the flosstubera buy sooo many patterns, then usually all the threads and the fabrics, needle minders and maybe project bags... That's a lot of money that right now I can use for sth else. Not hating, just saying, of course people can do with their money what they want😊. Hope to see you soon!

I love seeing your projects! I think working from a full set on bobbins would work well as long as you don’t need more than a partial skein (dye lots and whatnot). Otherwise you’ll probably need to buy multiples of a full set so all of the dye lots are the same… does that make sense? And then from there, you could cut an 18” piece and put that on a floss drop and kit it up that way, then just go back for another 18” piece when you use all of that up.. idk just an idea. 🤷‍♀️ I’m so glad you love the necklace. ❤️
