Sao, I'm sorry for your difficulties in life. I've been through many myself, not the least of which is a chronic pain I've had 7 years running. But every time I think I have it bad, I hear of someone's story who's got it worse, and my problems don't seem as bad. Life is difficult and we often don't know the answer to the why questions. I think we all have our own battles to fight. The apostle, Paul had a terrible stomach ailment which he prayed would go away, but at the end of the day he found peace even through his pain because of God's grace. I hope and pray you can find that same comfort and grace.

well this video helped me to understand christianity for a bit about that part of how you gonna end up in heaven or hell this video made some questions in islam that I learned in school we have two different kind of dids first what you done against god and what you did to others whatever is between you and god can be forgiven but what you did against others god won't interfere and you must pay for them by your good dids and if you run out of goods you need to suffer for them they teach us to ask for forgiveness from people around us and it's part of our culture that for example if your father passed away you as his child should ask people if your father had any depts to them and if your are a good child for him you should pay his depts and make sure you will try to ask them to forgive your father. and my father had teach me whenever you heard anybody died say I'm gonna forgive him and god gonna love you because of your forgiveness and this topic in islam has very details that I can't explain. hope you can find a video like this about my religion. and as a muslem I'm telling you don't pay attention to those isis ones. just how can you correct people by heading them and first law in every religion is don't kill.

There is a certain level of tolerance that must be employed in the exchange of ideas, but it needs to happen with grace and kindness. No one should have to tolerate ridicule and name calling in the form of puerile sophistry. No one whose chief concern is the truth should have to resort to such childish nonsense. This holds true for this video and for this channel. If you're of the mindset that launching personal attacks is fine to do, you are in the wrong place. I've been very liberal in allowing all sort of comments in, but I now realize that it is pointless speaking with people who don't want to reason and would rather launch personal attacks instead.

Where in the bible its written our soul is permanent and it lives forever...can anyone gonna say me in which verses
@ColdLonelyTruth
@ColdLonelyTruth 7 жыл бұрын
There are numerous places where it's indicated that the soul is eternal. The most popular passage can be found in the Gospel of John - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." Here, "eternal life" indicates that the soul is what lives on because we can all see that the body does not. But, like I said this is only one passage. There are numerous ones.
@1astrokid170
@1astrokid170 7 жыл бұрын
And the word "perish" means to destroy completely. Strongs G622- apollymi to destroy to put out of the way entirely, abolish, put an end to ruin render useless to kill to declare that one must be put to death metaph. to devote or give over to eternal misery in hell to perish, to be lost, ruined, destroyed to destroy to lose And if you say it's a metaphor, hell is not eternal torment because the Greek says otherwise. So our soul can live forever or it will be fully destroyed in the lake of fire (not hell).

Good summary. Annihilationism is heterodox, and I think for good reason, but that's a secondary intramural debate. There are other passages that add weight on the other side of the debate. Taken as a whole, I do think the traditionally held view is accurate. In the final analysis, it may not be worth debating over at all. But again, great summary and exegetical analysis of that verse.

wait!! Christians believe in souls??!! but one Christian friend told me they don't believe in reincarnation. Can anyone clarify this for me?
@ColdLonelyTruth
@ColdLonelyTruth 7 жыл бұрын
Spartan, the Bible clearly communicates that we all have souls. However, it does not teach reincarnation. The soul does not keep indwelling a different creature after its current body dies. When someone dies, the soul either finds himself in the presence of God (heaven) or in the absence of God (hell). I hope this helps.

Vicki, what is it about the Bible specifically that you find it difficult to wrap your head around the fact that people would take it seriously? Holy is not perfect and perfect is not complete. If your baby is perfect its not holy but even if it is not complete it is still perfect. Truth is hardly cold and lonely as you describe it to be. But this is how you want it. + Acceoss however, it is wrong to assume the statements you mentioned. We all were destined for hell because we rebelled against God. Our flight is already booked and the course is set. But what makes this one way trip so interesting and appealing is the flesh; You can have whatever you want. You can do whatever you want and get it whichever way you like as long as you can do it without being caught shamed or killed. An awesome sinners paradise. No rules, just fun. The flight will take you anywhere you want to go but it seldom warns you of engine failure, fuel loss or unexpected disasters. The pilot is of course the lord of darkness. An expert in flight disaster management, cover ups through lies and decetion. A hell of a nice guy. He is the party animal the chief of staff. He will promise you anything and everything in exchange for your soul. Its a bargain you cant refuse. But in steps Jesus. A friend who gave his life for his sheep. They know his voice and strangers they do not follow. He is the captain of their soul a sure foundation. With fire in his eyes and a sword in his mouth he speaks not like the hypocrates of your town. He knows this plane is going down, he knows your soul is at stake. Let my people go satan. The battle is on. Sinners scatter as the lines are drawn. The son of God verses the god of this age. Souls are wasted and souls are saved. Eternally lost or eternally saved. The vicory displayed on a cross on calvary. The world could see the perfect sacrifice blameless without sin hanging for sinners beaten to death. Hope and misery as God's final sacrice is laid in the grave. Death seems happy it puts fear in every heart. But this battle has just begun for he son of men would live again. That same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in me. Death where is your sting. The victory is Life which is the Light of men. An open displayed. God made the way, while you and I was still sinners Christ died, that whoever shall believe on him shall never die. And yet though he dies yet shall he live for whoever lives in Christ shall never die. So my friend. Some say Christ is just a parachute. I say i choose to obey. Jesus friend of sinners heal my sin sick soul. For i am bound to death. Save my soul and give me light. Your life in me is the light of the world. Jesus come and live in me. No that is a better deal, i am outta here. Where will you go, you crazy its dark out there. It doesnt matter because i now have the light in me. I once was blind but now i see, a sinner but now a saint. Jesus come live in me.

Thought crime... Seriously? Really? And if were all sinners regardless of weight of our sin, leading us to the same punishment. This means morality is meaningless. I as a law abiding citizen am the exact same as a serial rapist. How absurd.
@TheEricancan
@TheEricancan 8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Gibbard Maybe that is how the Bible is dealing with Satanic influence. It says to me that love exists because of free will, otherwise we can't love anyone, we are only programmed robots with no soul. Jealously arose from it as a byproduct in Satan, who wanted to be God. He was perfect and a beautiful angel. Before he fell out of Heaven he convinced angels to side with him. What was the difference between his perfection and God's...what pushed him out of Heaven. Was it his ideas? His ideas that robbed God of angels. He must have also spoken to the angels, but maybe God doesn't mind what we do as much as what we feel. Ergo I can stab a man by accident or kill him on purpose and the result will be the same, but the punishments will be different. We too in our justice systems count the thought as greater than the action. As far as perfection goes, I see that Satan had jealousy and a desire to rob God of what was rightfully His. He must have lied and intended to steal and probably ended the lives of the angels in Hell to come. That is all out of intent. Thought crimes exist and if you are a law abiding citizen you agree with it.

Yes, you're absolutely right. In my King's eyes I am seen as bad as a rapist because I too have sinned just like that rapist has. Do I agree? 100%... I'm a 17-year-old girl and the thoughts I've had are beyond horrific, just as bad as what you would consider the worst 'criminal' in the world. Just because some sins are publicly seen and some are behind closed doors makes no difference. If you consider yourself a good person and you're able to cope pretty well by yourself well hands down to you, because as for me I'd feel pretty messed up in this world if I didn't have a saviour who can set me free. He literally suffocated himself just to have the slightest chance that you might get to know him. If you aren't interested there's not much else I can say besides he wants you to know that he loves you more than anyone has ever loved anything. Consider yourself to be pretty significant. Have a lovely day Kevin :)
@ColdLonelyTruth
@ColdLonelyTruth 7 жыл бұрын
Kevin, you're drawing a false equivalency. Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, everyone is a sinner and headed to an eternity apart from God. But God interjects to offer a pardon by offering a sacrifice in our place. If I give you a gift and your reject it, you will never be able to use the gift that was offered to you. It doesn't seem like you've watched the video, at least not carefully enough to have a better grasp of the nuances. Secondly, being law abiding doesn't really mean all that much. Civil laws are not one in the same as moral laws. And we can only have objective moral laws if there is a God. In any case, if this God has revealed Himself through the pages of a particular book, regardless how we may personally feel about things, which are usually based on our preconceptions, which can be wrong, to be in full accordance with reality, one would have to heed the truth of the book. Often times, when we open our minds to the possibility that we may be holding an incorrect view of reality, we are humbled by the truth that supersedes personal opinions. All sins are primarily sins against God. There are levels of punishment. You are not the same as a serial rapist qualitatively speaking, but positionally, you would still be alienated from God since you've broken his laws. The oddity of your objection and many others through the ages is that the free gift is offered and rejected, and yet people expect to spend eternity with God. The fact of the matter is that if you don't want God in your life now, there is scant little to suggest you'd want to be with God through all eternity.

I'm not sure if this video should be called 'the Bible in 11 minutes'...it really said little to nothing about the content of the Bible. The whole Old Testament was skipped and as well as Israel's calling to be a set apart light to the nations (a people bearing the image of God to the world like Adam failed to be). Jesus became the Israelite who fulfilled Israel's calling in himself to bear God's image perfectly and follow the Law.

There is punishment, and then there is sending somebody to a place of eternal torment. If my loved one was killed I would indeed want the murderer punished, but no crime justifies eternal punishment, least of all simply lying or being angry with someone. And if the only real determinant of getting into Heaven is thanking Jesus for dying for our sins, this is extremely unfair, as a genuine belief in God is not a choice. The idea of Hell is horrible, and contradicts the idea of a loving God.

@DemkVan jan, no problem. I will follow up with a personal message, but just to briefly reply to your comment that you don't believe in ANYTHING that is not proven - if proof was necessary to believe in something, it wouldn't be belief anymore, right, because you would already know for sure. Very few things can actually be proven anyway. For example, you can't really even prove to me that you exist, but I would be an idiot to think I'm speaking with a fictional character who answers back ;-)

@DemkVan You have a very warped view of Christian theology, but I don't blame you. As an Armenian myself, I understand the cultural ignorance in matters of theology. But you are wrong. Those who do not want God's love are left to their own to live as they wish. Heaven is not a place where people are taken against their will. In my book I detail the scientific, philosophical and historical argument for God existence. Check it out on Amazon - Cold and Lonely Truth

@najjhhan I don't think there is any problem with the justice. I realize that it doesn't sit well with us when we think injustice is being done. But think about this: what would be wrong with murder to begin with? Why is it wrong to murder? If there is no God, there can be no objective moral values. If there are no objective moral values, you can't say something is unjust or morally wrong. Since Jesus paid for all sins, justice has already been done. Genuine faith reunites us with God!
