I recently bought an Ibanez AF95FM jazz guitar. I wanted a completely hollow archtop jazz box for some time and Ibanez gave what I was looking for. The ebony fretboard feels smooth as silk and the sound is fat, just what I was looking for. I did go with D'Addario XL 110W strings with a wound 'G' string for that jazz tone. I bought mine from Sweetwater. They did their usual 55 point inspection which I think is a great thing.

Has anyone played this against a Two Rock? While Two Rock being even more expensive they will bring a better resell value, while the TWS will very likely not get you any of your money back.

I don't understand what you are complaining about the tuners. It looks like you have way more winds on the posts than are necessary. That's the thing about this type of vintage tuner. You trim the string before you drop it into the hole in the post. Other tuners you thread it, allow as much slack as you need, then trim the string after you tune.
@Bliggick
@Bliggick 23 күн бұрын
My apologies. I just saw a review on the Guitaristas channel of the same guitar. He actually pointed out that the split shaft tuners with the hole in the center is a big problem. He showed that the hole in the center is actually fake and there is no room to insert the string like it should. So you have to wind the string like a conventional tuner.

@@1lastry344 I admit, I pay too much attention to the aesthetics of the guitar. The body shape and positioning is very similar to a jazzmaster. But you are right, the sound isn't anything like a jazzmaster. Maybe I should get one... nonetheless, this guitar feels and sounds awesome! Cheers!

Sometimes it's just not feasible to own one. I'm a pretty good guitarist. I know how to roll with the changes I have musicianship, taste, a decent musical iq...I can solo and do improv. I'm creative. I still will probably NEVER own one Because it just doesn't make sense for me to spend that much on one guitar. I have 3 guitars that are close to that price... but these 3, I can justify.
@MAX96MENDES
@MAX96MENDES Ай бұрын
@@beatmasterbossy I congratulate you on your guitar playing style. Its very good! I agree with you. Some times these guitar companies must look to how much a guitar player can pay for their instruments. Not many people can afford such guitars and continue to have a career and pay their house bills. Normal musicians want and need a good guitar to play, at a reasonable price, while those very expensive guitars are usually for "collectors" and most often placed on walls for showing off how rich a person is. Lets face the facts, for 3,000 dollars/euros I can very well buy 3 or even 7 other guitars just as good or even better. Not joking. I personally never buy a guitar over 800 euros, and if I do, it has to have very VERY good specs. As an example, I was still able to buy a brand new EVH-Wolfgang Special Black Stealth. Now THAT is one amazing guitar for that price. Top specs and build that most other guitar manufactures do not have to offer for this price. Anyway, I wish Valiant Guitars much success with their guitars, they will always find someone interested to buy them. After all, This is a big world.
@KrenarCilkuGuitar
@KrenarCilkuGuitar Ай бұрын
@@MAX96MENDES luckily, the guitar market is at it's peak, in my opinion. Everyone with any budget can get a good guitar nowadays, which is awesome. I totally get where you're coming from. Not everyone can justify spending that much on a guitar. In terms of quality, however, this Valiant Jupiter is comparable to a Custom Shop Fender and not a production line Fender. A team-built custom shop Fender normally costs way more than a Valiant. At the end of the day, all that matters is that there are guitars for everyone out there, which is super cool! Cheers!
