James, I think I did everything exactly how you did with the exception of putting the orange trigger wire from the voltage reducer on the front of the controller instead of connecting it under the dash. Everything comes on as it should, but when I press the accelerator nothing happens. it is a 2015 RXV. Any idea what I did wrong or need to do?

I really appreciate the video. I like to do these types of things, but I was a little intimated by all the equipment and wires. The battery bundle I purchased comes with minimal installation info for my Yamaha....or at least what i could locate. This video is extremely helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to put this together and post it.

could be the MCOR, it could also be a speed sensor. The speed sensor is relatively cheap and I haven’t had any problems with Amazon speed sensors. Try one of those first if that doesn’t do it get you an OEM Mcore

I can’t say I have not pulled them 80 because I’m sure I have! I’ve had no problems but when I’m going that far away I usually always take the windshield completely off. I am curious if you would have had enough main cable length if you had chosen to install the battery on the driver side and put the charger on the passenger side. I like the idea of having the cart more weight balanced if you don't have a passenger, but I like the idea of not having to make a cable even more.
@Kartznfartz
@Kartznfartz Ай бұрын
That’s funny you mentioned that! Every install in the past has always been on the passenger side so I just went with it, after I was watching the video I had the same thought process! The batteries are only 70 pounds so it probably would not make that much of a difference anyway. The next time I get a customers cart, you bet I will be trying that! Your install went great. Another KZbin channel I watch shows how to make these. They are super easy. I wanted a solution quick so I messaged the guy from that site you mentioned and he is a very poor quality business man..... Kinda a Ahole. No bearing on you whatsoever. You said it was just a random vendor. Basically responded with a one sentence response and told me to look at his Facebook page when I told him what cart I had and that I wanted to hear about any options he had available for it and pricing (which is what he said to do in one if his posts). I told him I had but all I see are pics and no pricing or package deals and no list of all that is available. (PLUS he said to message him for info and include cart type and wheel size). He just ignored me after that. It's a shame because I have more money than sense and would have bought everything he offered for my cart and referred the inevitable neighbors who wanted them to him as well..

@CarolinaMotors378LLC-gb8jb
@CarolinaMotors378LLC-gb8jb 2 ай бұрын
The cable length is pre-determined, to be honest with you, I’ve nevermeasured them! You can use a passenger cable on the driver side but you’ll have a lot left over that you will need to zip tie out-of-the-way. They cost the same, it’s best just to buy the lifted cable which is about an inch and a half or two longer than factory

It's been a while but I worked as a tech at a cart place for a bit some years ago. Carts would come in all the time with this kind of problem. Look around in the menus of the scanner, some where in there in them is a section that let's you adjust throttle position and percentage. I wish I could elaborate, but like I said, it's been some years. I'm a curious person so I had to play with everything I could find in the magic box 😆

He sent me a video clip of in app calibration screen showing the slider moving erratically back and forwards with no throttle imput. Before sending me a text saying"I think your mcor might be bad".
