Fantastic! an example of how our laptop is a part of our consciousness but clearly not part of our brain. searching for a song but knowing the reference for it Is found in a different song's description- one that is easier to remember. So we remember that one and then find the song that way. This feels similar to how my own brain finds thoughts/memories. Certain impulses in my brain (neurons) are associated with different brain states which ultimately trigger new brain states which correspond to new memories for the perceiver. This flow of consequentialism could be incredibly random but there is a direct link between each brain state due to the known mechanisms of neurons. Therefore through my fingers and the keyboard i trigger this information interplay between my thoughts and the laptop's screen. Each word or image generated and heard able to shape my thoughts with as much ease as the previous thought/memory. But the intimacy of controlling it with the keyboard and mouse make it different to everyday experience
