I remember this gig well. All of us up on stage dancing. They did well to keep playing

Of course Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce don’t miss a beat. If there was a fire in the building they would still be on point.

I was at this gig, I went both nights. I'm surprised I was allowed as I was only 15 and they were both school nights!

Manys the time we went from Newry to Warrenpoint on the train, it was always a great day out. You would be looking forward to the trip for days. God be with the simple times. 😊😊👋👋

Any idea where you got the photo of the family on the lighter boat a couple of minutes into the video? We have the original glass plate negative.

As a child I used to catch the train from Gt Victoria Street to Newry in the 50's to stay with my grandparents. Yet I never realised it went on to Carlingford. Thanks for posting this - fascinating.

This was a BBC special, i don't think this was allowed on their typical performances during those days. Bur i wasn't there so I'm just assuming.

Arriving at the Derby Assembly Rooms with free tickets the BBC had dropped off at school that afternoon, me and my mates were given boxes of gladioli to throw into the stage from the balcony.
