My dream airplane. Sigh. Still no FADEC, but since I’ll never be able to afford one, who cares? The Epic is one slick, beautiful aircraft.

Is it loud inside? given that the Eclipse is cheaper, faster, wider, double engine, quiet and burns less fuel, would it be a better choice?

Liked your opening shot of the flatirons. I used to live in Boulder and learned to fly at Jeffco (now Rocky Mountain). Nowadays I'm up north in Ram country. Keep the vids coming.
@CoryCalvin2 ай бұрын
@dmzamzow that's awesome! I figured anyone local would appreciate a shot of the flatirons. Back when Jeffco got renamed to Metro, we used to call up the tower frequency and say "Jeffco Tower" and oftentimes they really came unglued about the fact we weren't using the new proper phraseology, "Metro Tower". 🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting! Safe flying up there!

Very nice video. One thing I noticed is that when you performed a warm start, you only waited until ITTs came down to 150degC before adding fuel. You should have waited longer until temp dropped to 130degC (consult the Epic POH/AFM). FYI, I own and fly a 2022 E1000 GX.
@CoryCalvin2 ай бұрын
Hey @uberanalyst , thanks for watching! In factory training, it was taught to 150°. I am aware of the 130° temp, however, to get it to 130 would have exceeded the starter limitation. It temp'd out at 789 on that start, so well below the temp limits for startup. Happy Flying! Epic is sure a fun one!

You guys know that both of those headsets can Bluetooth into your phone, right? 12:33 "pull carb heat, just a little bit..." NO!! Carb heat is all or nothing. The ram air from the intake will always overpower any air that is passively pulled through the exhaust shroud. All you're doing is creating a path (through the exhaust shroud) for the ram air to escape.

Don't reply back with "for" anywhere in the transmission, especially before your call letters. " zero two zero for seven juliet romeo" can easily be heard as 02047JR. 14:55 "seven jay are"

Congrats on your instrument rating! One of the toughest ones to get! What you are mentioning was the hardest thing for me in the transition to commercial. During private, I never wanted to look inside. Then instrument, I never wanted to look outside, and back to the basics on the commercial. :) Stick with it, it will become easier!

@@CoryCalvin 3rd lesson in, and it's all good again... One video I watched elsewhere...the instructor has the whole panel covered... going to have my instructor do that...especially the Chandelle. I also "warm up" the legs enroute to the practice area, just working the rudder. I think doing slow flight with flaps up, as a way to warm up before chandelles, will probably help alot.
