by this logic, no one is Arab, not even the Saudis cuz there are no "Arab genes". As a matter of fact, a peer reviewed study showed that most Saudis are descendants of the ancient Canaanites that lived in the levant millennia ago. The study also shows that their DNA is closer to the Canaanites than most Levantines. but none of this matters cuz "Arab" is a linguistic ethnicity. All it takes for you to be an Arab is for your country's official/native language to be Arabic. Being Arab has nothing to do with genes, that's just racist nationalist speak and it does nothing but cause division. I feel like you guys are begging for another civil war, cuz I've only seen this narrative coming from religious separatists. just stop. its also just super fkn annoying.

@@lukecage2131 Nope. Many Muslims and Christian Lebanese feel the same. In fact, when we say we're Arabs we only mean by language. But of course language alone can't make you an Arab, so that's why many of us insist we're not. It's a simple fact. As for "nobody is Arab" this is technically true, because it's a faulty label to begin with. But since Saudis and Yemenis insist that's their ancestry, I'm not going to argue with them. As for us Lebanese, we're simply Lebanese, and we have our own dna and culture. No label like Arab can define us, and it definitely doesn't do a good job like the word Lebanese does. So, that's what it comes down to. And it's our bus iness alone. Not yours or anyone else's.

Different parts of the same country may use different words, that happens all over the Arab world.

Each country has dialects within it, but usually they're closer and more similar within a country/region than the further you get. So the dialects of Lebanon are closer to the dialects of Syria and Palestine, than to the dialects of Lybia and Tunisia, for example. So they're just generalizing

They have different LANGUAGES. They're only called dialects because of POLITICS. Otherwise Lebanese has nothing to do with yemeni, Iraqi, Egyptian, etc. On that note, they have different DNA as well. I'm Lebanese, and our ancestors come from our own region, in the Mediterranean. Putting it out there.

Morocco is an Arab country. Just like it’s Tamazight. There’s no point in mentioning it’s Tamazight in a video about Arabic dialects, it’s not relevant.

@tareq5911 Moroccan Arabic is mixed because many Darija words are derived from Tamazight.
