Hi Art! Please consider being Division C contest as "Contests Chair" or Chief Judge. Thank you. Darcel D. Davenger, DTM

Since I am considering being a contestant in Division G or H, that might not be possible, btu we'll see how things pan out.

Hello, reposting my comment from an earlier video. I’ll paraphrase it here. Do you think you could make a video on how to make a decent icebreaker? I would like to do my first speech, but I have no idea what to talk about any advice on how to pick a topic or something along those lines would be very helpful. Thanks.

I apologize for the delayed response. I suggest watching the videos in the Better Speaker Series. The first one, Selecting Your Topic, would seem to be spot-on. Let me know! kzbin.info/aero/PLeIa1-bNdMCTWw0T3DrOG_Hf5BLcTIIlT

Hi, This is a video of a recent prepared speech presentation that I recorded under less-than-great audio/video conditions, but I am seeking evaluation from both experienced Toastmasters and others as to the good and not-so-good presentation points. I'll share one to get the ball rolling: You are speaking WAY too fast at times and I can't understand what you're saying!

www.tinyurl.com/D38Area73 is the full URL. The video omits the "www" part, but it worked for me with and without it. Hope this helps. Note that the page has changed a bit in appearance and structure since this video was prepared.

Since I am giving my first speaker's evaluation tomorrow, I found this video to be very informative. The different points that I need to reference were clearly stated as well as additional ideas for how to motivate and encourage the speaker. Thank you Art, for taking the time to make this video. I have been listening and taking notes for The Better Speaker Series and am finding them very helpful. Thank you for having taken so much time to prepare these You tube presentations for us.

Hello, I think Art's presentation provides a lot of value to anyone who wants to run a contest.
