Wheel bearings too tight ! Set the cart up on a lift or barrel and tighten the wheel bearings while spinning the tires, when you feel they just start to have resistance back off the torque slightly to where it is free and lock them with cotter pin, etc. Use a very slick light weight wheel bearing grease and clean the bearings and just put a coating of grease into the bearings before each race, do not pack them full of grease. Check them and grease before each race.

You need to get rid of those silly visors on your helmets, slowing you down by at least 3 or 4 kph! And also, get down as low into the cockpit as you can with your partner tucked in tight behind you, cut wind drag down, more speed yet again. Every little helps.

Use the BEST high-speed wheel bearings money can buy - use the BEST highspeed lubricants - those tires look like they were never meant to roll at such high speeds - research and get ones purposely made for such sports use as this - remember tire pressure and tread make a huge difference. Wax and polish the car - the whole car - underside, topside, wheel rims, frame. Helmets too. Make it slippery! Study motorcycle sidecar racing and learn the techniques of highspeed cornering and lining up for turns. Stop looking around and waving at crowds! Stop squirming in your seat. That costs you seconds each time you do it. You need small side-view mirrors. Learn how to coordinate pumping the car forward - and lay back more.
