Just the start of this is crazy. From an older perspective it doesn't matter what any one thinks because some people will find you attractive some will not, just how it is. What those women spend in a month is probably my year spend.

Thank you for sharing. This is unfortunately reality and many end up in debt and have nothing to save for the future.

@@essentialpatience9995It's so sad and odd to me. The worse thing is they don't even look that great I see lots of young women and they look like they are in drag. You look perfect as you are so please don't get drawn into this madness.

If you max out your Roth IRA from age 22 to 62, at $7000 per year, at 10% per year, at $583 per month, after 40 years, you will have over $3.2 million of after tax money

I cut my hair.....it took 4yrs for it to even slightly grow back with inches. In hindsight seems to be all about the treatment of your hair during that time & i couldn't afford anything the natural hair community was promoting. Even though i hated it at times,looked ridiculous at times....i still stayed natural for 15yrs,then relaxed in 2021. After relaxing,i realized i never liked how i looked with natural hair 😢. It was a "statement" about how i love my blackness(because i do), i felt i had to prove my self love. Best decision was letting go of that idea & making my hair manageable. Now,don't hate your hair & never think about other races...that is wild..there's no "we" for me when it comes to some of what she said. Great video and response!

I think most African-American men prefer natural hair over wigs and stuff. The self deprecated comments and views cone because some African-American women compare themselves to Caucasians and Asians rather than finding out how to develop and nurture their own hair

You would be surprised, I have gotten negative comments from both genders, and that is not unique. But it will be a collective effort to instill self-confidence into the next generation.

It is important to budget self care accordingly and not let social media influence you to buy more.

Having a self care routine is very important, but it should not be prioritized over more important needs.

I don't know what that guy was worried about if she sells her house. She'd have $250k - she isn't going to run out of rent money. She's 86. She'll be dead anywhere from tomorrow to 10 years or so from now. She can earn a bit on the cash (even keeping in very safe investments), and she only lives on about 1500 per month. She has $1200 coming in. She'd be just fine with $250k cushion. Find a nice little rental.
@essentialpatience9995Ай бұрын
That is a good idea, but it is almost always a good choice to have stabilized housing in retirement. She will be subjected to many rent hikes through out the years. She is also unwilling to move, when that was suggested, she said "I'm 86." And she is not willing to work as she also responded "I'm 86, with leukemia." I still think getting roommates might be her best option if she does not want to move.
